A well-defined learning strategy is crucial for organizational growth. It aligns training with Carhartt goals, enhances associate development, and promotes continuous improvement.

Key Components of the Learning Strategy

Why Carhartt Competencies

Competencies serve as a powerful lever to elevate talent and drive business success by aligning our team's skills and behaviors with strategic goals. They provide a clear framework for expectations, development, and performance, ensuring that everyone is equipped to excel and contribute to our collective growth.

By embedding competencies into our talent processes—such as hiring, development, and performance management—we create a shared language and roadmap for success, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability.

They provide clear expectations on “HOW” leaders and associates are expected to show up and perform in their role. Identifying the skills and competencies for different levels is essential to our strategic goals and crucial for effective talent management.

Understanding our needs and who possesses these competencies, both internally and externally, is key to achieving our business objectives. They are vital in guiding our recruitment, development, performance evaluation, and overall strategic execution. They provide a clear framework for “HOW” we drive business success.
