Psychology BSc (Hons)
Specialise in an area of interest- Education, Clinical & Health or Forensic Psychology.
This degree is professionally accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), offering you the opportunity to study an industry-approved psychology course that employers highly regard and gain Graduate Chartered Membership of the Society upon graduation. This degree provides you with an introduction to social, developmental, and biological psychology as well as research and data analysis in the first year of study. You will have the opportunity to undertake work placements and volunteering as part of modules embedded into your course. Past placements have included working with vulnerable young adults; working with children in secondary schools in a mentoring capacity; in forensic, clinical and health settings, and shadowing professionals in areas such as the probation service and hospitals. In addition, we have industry links with City Unity College in Athens, allowing you to share and develop your psychology skills with students from across the globe (with possible opportunities for global exchange). You will have access to a suite of facilities and labs including a Tobii eye tracker and Biosemi EEG and a dedicated team of research-active psychology staff and a personal tutor will support you throughout your time with us.
