new horizons
The capital of roads not yet travelled. Of languages you’re yet to learn. Of people, far from here, you’ll soon know as fellows, colleagues, friends. Of places that will teach you as much as any lecture series or textbook. The capital of feeling at home, wherever you are.
Global Opportunities
With study, work and volunteering abroad the world is yours to explore, with opportunities across a range of subject areas in Europe, North America, North Africa, Latin America, Asia, the South Pacific and more.

Taking part in a global opportunity, either as part of your course or as an extra curricular activity, will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the global marketplace. If you want to broaden your horizons, develop your skills, gain new experiences and improve your future employability, then studying, working or volunteering abroad is definitely for you.
There are a variety of opportunities on offer that range from short-term cultural and employability trips, academic summer schools and international weeks, virtual opportunities to semester and year exchanges. Funding may also be available to support you whilst abroad, depending on the opportunity.

“We had the opportunity to visit many local craftspeople, from ceramicists to wooden block carvers to miniature painters. It was an invaluable experience to witness the passion and commitment these people have to their practices. Attending so many workshops and meeting makers from such a wildly different culture than ours, we were able to gain insights into our own practices that might never have been developed otherwise. The whole two-week trip was an incredible, priceless and breathtaking experience”
