International Business Management BA
(Hons)
Developing your language skills and preparing you for success in the global business market.
If you want to pursue a career in the arena of international business management and would like to gain a competitive edge in today’s global job market then the BA (Hons) International Business Management could be the degree for you.
You will gain all-round knowledge and skills in international business management and cross-cultural management. Furthermore, you will be required to study one foreign language as a core module (either at beginners/ post GCSE level or Post A-level) over the duration of the course. You can choose from either French, Spanish or Mandarin Chinese (subject to demand). Foreign language skills are considered an asset in most business and management sectors.
Typical modules*
The degree combines core and optional modules from the disciplines of business and management, intercultural studies and languages. The compulsory modules represent the essential core knowledge and skills required for each field of study and include fundamental areas of business and management in year one, such as finance, marketing, HRM and global business.
Years two and three modules add greater academic depth to the subjects, and are more applied, practical, investigative, and analytical in nature and include a wide number of optional modules to choose from. These may include:
• Creativity and Innovation Management
• International Business and Cultural Diversity
• Contemporary Operations Management
