Professionally accredited and practically focused accounting degrees.

Degrees available:

• Accounting – BA (Hons)

• Accounting & Finance – BA (Hons)

• Accounting & Economics – BA (Hons)

Our professionally accredited accounting degrees will provide you with a comprehensive introduction to all areas of accounting. They will prepare you with the skills and knowledge you will need to pursue professional accounting qualifications and a career in the industry.

Our Accounting - BA (Hons) will allow you to obtain maximum exemptions from the ACCA and substantial exemptions from ICAEW and CIMA, and our other Accounting degrees will also allow you to obtain substantial exemptions from these professional body examinations. By completing any of these degrees you are therefore giving yourself a head start towards obtaining your professional accounting qualifications.

Work experience plays a major part in each course allowing you to gain real-world industry experience. The Accounting & Finance - BA (Hons) and Accounting & Economics - BA (Hons) allow you to complete a credited Work Experience or Volunteering Project in your second year. You can also choose to take the sandwich option on all three degrees and undertake a year-long work placement between your second and third years. Past placements have taken place at organisations such as Warner Bros., Proctor & Gamble and Deloitte. Coursework is generally very practical, reflecting the skills and techniques required by a professional accountant. Assessment for ACCA-accredited modules includes a closed-book examination in order to satisfy exemption requirements.
