Whatdowedotohelpyou?
Carbon3 empowers businesses to cut their carbon footprint with innovative solutions like Solar PV systems and EV chargers. Our technology reduces reliance on fossil fuels, accelerates the shift to clean energy, and improves building Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) ratings.
By making energy efficiency a priority, we help organisations enhance sustainability, meet ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) goals, and strengthen their market position. With Carbon3, sustainability is not just a target. It is a smart investment in the future.
Whatdowedoasacompany?
We use our core values as a framework for providing social value. Sustainability means we are working towards a 2030 net zero business target, which works with innovation as we find the best ways to achieve net zero. One of these ways is our 100% electric fleet, and providing our employees with an electric car salary sacrifice scheme and EV charging facilities at the office
Innovation also means prioritising employee training and upskilling. We do this by enrolling our staff on training courses and making an effort to promote from within. As part of this we have two training programs - our apprentice program and our graduate program.
In this way, we make collaboration across our business one of our core values. We also collaborate externally, including contributing to local communities and fundraising for important charities.
Where collaboration and sustainability meet is our support for community energy providers
We work closely with funding partners who focus on making sure disadvantaged communities have access to cheaper energy, by recycling their profits into community funding.
We always operate on a foundation of integrity and excellence - we always deliver over and above what we promise

A Council, located in north-west Kent, approached leading decarbonisation specialist Carbon3 to install air source heat pumps (ASHP) and photovoltaic solar panels across more than 60 of their homes Some homes had both installed to provide residents with cost savings across their electricity and hot water bills. The project involved a 198 kW solar PV system and a 236 kW ASHP system.
Carbon3 provided a turnkey service from consultancy and design, to installation, and ongoing maintenance. Carbon3 worked with residents to reduce disruption to their homes, with weekly meetings to keep residents appraised of ongoing works External risers were installed for the Solar PV systems in order to minimise the need to enter residents’ homes. Scaffolding was made safe and bird protections were used to reduce maintenance issues
All the systems installed for Gravesham Council have remote monitoring and smart meters, allowing Carbon3 to view the status and output of all systems and flag any that are not performing as normal This means any repairs can be undertaken at minimal disruption to residents and outside of standard annual check-ups
Sustainable energy systems, such as solar panels and heat pumps, ensure compliance with future laws and regulations.
Projects may benefit from government incentives or grants for including renewable energy systems and technologies.
Homes with sustainable energy systems have lower energy bills, which is attractive for buyers amidst rising energy costs.
Homes with sustainable energy solutions are more likely to qualify for green mortgages. Building sustainable homes enhances a developer’s reputation as a forward-thinking, responsible business.
Demonstrating a commitment to sustainability can attract partnerships, investors, and positive media attention.
Sustainable homes contribute to a healthier, cleaner community and future.
Today’s buyers are more environmentally conscious and value energy-efficient homes. Sustainable features make properties more desirable and can command higher prices.
Many local councils have sustainability policies within their Local Plans, requiring developers to incorporate energy-efficient or renewable energy systems into new builds.
All renewable technologies can benefit one another when used together. Solar panels can generate free energy from the sun, which can then be stored in batteries for powering EV charge points and ASHPs at night or during expensive peak hours.
Solar energy can power ASHP to heavily reduce your operating bills.
By using self-generated solar power to charge EVs, businesses can significantly lower electricity costs.
Battery storage systems can be scaled up as needed, ensuring businesses are prepared for rising demand without grid dependency
Load shifting means ASHPs can use electricity stored during off-peak hours, during expensive peak-times to reduce costs

Currently all electric vehicles have a benefit-in-kind (BIK) tax of 2 percent, much lower than hybrid and petrol or diesel cars, which have an average BIK rate of 20 to 37 percent.
Carbon3 EV chargers have the ability to charge a vehicle with any unused exported power which would normally flow back to the grid by analysing the exact amount of unused power and charging the vehicle direct from the solar panels. This gives all Carbon3 customers the opportunity to minimise their costs of charging.
Carbon3 has a completely free design service to explore the benefits of solar, ensuring every electric vehicle purchaser has the ability to take advantage of charging their vehicle in the most economical way Find out more with a Carbon3 assessor
Carbon3 assisted a council in Kent in establishing EV charging points, managing everything from feasibility studies to ongoing energy oversight. As part of their Climate Change Management Delivery Plan, the client is dedicated to exploring EV charging options for councilowned properties, funded by the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Strategy.
