from our General Manager I am pleased to inform you that Caravelle Saigon is currently undergoing a complete refreshment of its 303 guestrooms in the Opera wing, ballroom and meeting rooms, from now until late 2019. During this time our restaurants and bars will be open for business as usual, with the exception of Signature Lounge which has temporarily relocated to Martini Bar until its refurbishment is completed. This long-awaited renovation is the latest in a series of improvements intended to elevate the historic property to international five-star standards, and cater to today’s modern travelers. While the renovated areas and accommodation will debut a more luxurious, updated aesthetic, I believe that the warm hospitality that’s made the Caravelle Saigon a favourite will remain at the heart of its appeal. The Caravelle has always been a property of distinction, with an unparalleled location and history, with this renovation we’ll still retain the hotel’s storied heritage, but we’ll be able to provide a fresh and enhanced experience to all our guests and partners. With a dramatically reduced room inventory during the renovation, I do advise to book your accommodation in advance over this period. I’m certain these improvements will delight all our guests who call the Caravelle their home away from home. We do hope that construction will not affect your stay in anyway. Over the last few years, the craft beer scene has well and truly found a home in Saigon and new microbreweries are popping up all over Vietnam. As firm supporters of expert craftsmanship, unique flavours and local business, Caravelle Saigon were more than happy to welcome locally brewed craft beers into their bars and restaurants. Now, we are incredibly excited to introduce our very own draft beer to our historic Saigon Saigon Rooftop Bar. To pay homage to the former name of this well-loved bar we have christened the beer Caravelle Terrace Draft. There couldn’t be a better place to enjoy it. We can just imagine the journalists of the 60s sipping this rich golden lager on a sunny Saigon afternoon. Crafted with German noble hops for a mild hoppy taste, the subtle floral and herbal notes are balanced with the character of a full-bodied malt. Refreshing, easy to drink and the cheapest beer on our menu. You won’t even need to wait until happy hour to give it a try. The Caravelle Saigon, one of Vietnam’s most iconic hotels, is beginning a major renovation of its guestrooms in the first week of August. All 303 rooms in the hotel’s Opera Wing, as well as its ballrooms, meeting rooms and function areas will be refreshed over the coming months. The Caravelle’s dining outlets and Heritage Wing suites will remain open for loyal guests. The first of the redesigned spaces will debut in the second quarter of 2019. Among the highlights guests can look forward to after the renovation, is the unveiling of a new look and feel in the hotel rooms and suites. Previously known for an emphasis on comfort and quality, the rooms at Caravelle Saigon will be significantly upgraded and redone with state-of-the-art amenities, expanded bathrooms, and plush interiors.
