glass panels give this existing space an open and collaborative plan, while maintaining semiprivate working spaces. the bright color accents keep the area lively and the dark laminate adds a formal aesthetic to the office.

second level this newly built collegiate field house, used by both faculty and students, keeps a formal aesthetic while promoting school sprit through the use of bright, school colors. flooring, paint, and wall patterns were selected for this 15,000 square foot space. the bright, visual wall invites guests inside the lofty space and adds a energetic atmosphere inside and out.

this historic, collegiate dormitory was originally built during the late 1800’s and was in dire need of an exterior update. the paint behind the wooden detailing above the windows received a dark rich purple paint, as did the cornice molding at the top of the building. this carries the college’s colors from the inside to the outside. pops of golden yellow were added to the restored wooden paneling and the original patrice plates were painted a dark green-brown. as a member of the design team for this project, I was personally responsible for the exterior renderings and modeling of the architectural details, and finish selections. *winner of the 2015 honor award by the palmetto trust for historic preservation

bright, energetic flooring creates a playful environment throughout the space, while utilizing antimicrobial attributes. the scope of this project includes flooring, paint, and furniture finishes encompassing the 8,000 square foot area. this clinic which is located on the second floor of an existing space is adjacent to a elementary school. this ‘neighborhood’ approach to the clinic is convenient for the families the school already serves.

this children's outpatient center and therapy hospital evokes a soothing yet energetic atmosphere to promote healing and learning. a sparse use of bright colors was desired for the different needs of the end users within this space that totals 26,000 square feet. a variety of children with different physical and developmental needs require a sensitive design solution. the south corridor was designed with a carpet tile track used to test children with learning and physical ailments. floor patterns, flooring finishes, paint, and furniture finishes were selected for this space and creates a comfortable, fun, and impactful environment.

the intake area offers patients two different options for sign in. The self-serve kiosk lets patients check in without having to wait in line. The intake desk is available for patients who may have questions or other needs.

the Flooring in the space is level and textured, which adds traction to eliminate slips and falls. the recessed wall accent helps break up the plan to eliminate the potential for disorientation.

the space is accessible for all patients which will assist in the healing process. The open plan assists with maintaining this accessibility. the pod-like design of this therapy suite creates organization so therapy can be personalized and there wont be crowding and overlap.

the pediatric wing is lively with a bright and vivid color scheme. This creates a fun atmosphere, but does not create sensory overload. the ADL and physical therapy space are compartmentalized within each environment which creates a holistic approach that will not become repetitive. the variation in color, both on the walls and furniture, will assist patients at all visual acuity levels. This will help patients know how to function in the space.

this fun and energetic pediatric interior is achieved through finishes and art seen throughout the space. I was responsible for meeting with the end user, architect, project manager, and contractor in the planning and design of this healthcare space. I worked with 3 separate furniture vendors in the layout of the furniture needs and made all finish and material selections.
