I hope you like the new format of our church paper!
I just wish my picture was a little bigger!
Speaking of pictures, I believe it's important for all of us to keep a clear image of Jesus as He is portrayed in the Gospels. We need to learn everything we can about Him so we can share those truths with our friends Friends lead friends to Jesus
Let those around you get a good look at Him many will want to know more. God is proud of His Son, and we should be proud of Him too.
The world often tries to obscure the Jesus we love, so it’s up to us to shine a light on Him. The more we share Jesus with others, the more people we’ll lead to Him.
Keep serving Jesus!

Even the Wind and the Waves Obey Him ~Mark 4:41
Have you ever felt overwhelmed by life's challenges, questioning if Jesus cares?
After Day 1 with our brand-new family routine, I needed a moment. So, I slipped away into the one place in the house where solitude should be sacred: the bathroom I sat quietly on the edge of the tub, soaking in the silence like it was a hot bath. And for 30 glorious seconds… it was perfect. Just me, my thoughts, and the sound of nothing while my face rested in the palm of my hands But then the storm rolled in
First, the door handle began to rattle gently at first, like a warning tremor. Then came the full-on shaking, followed by a pounding that could’ve made a SWAT team proud And then, through the chaos, a deep and thunderous voice broke the silence:
“STEVE.
I WANT TO COME IN.”
My moment of peace was officially over. That big storm is named Nathan and he is 4 years old and scary at times. In that moment, I realized something: even the quietest spaces in our lives can get interrupted Storms come fast, sometimes unexpectedly, and sometimes even through the bathroom door. But what a comfort to know that Jesus is calm even when everything else isn’t.
BEYOND THE WALLS

Contentment is a biblical concept to which we are called in this life. We should be content with what God has blessed us with. However, one area where we should never be content is in our outreach to our neighbors
Paul visited the town of Lystra in Acts 14, where the population was stirred to riot against him because of the Jewish people who had pursued him throughout his journey The mob dragged Paul outside the city and stoned him until they believed he was dead. But Paul got up and went back into the city, later continuing on to Derbe.
What I gather from this story is that even when people are determined to destroy you, God still wants you to share the gospel with them. If they do not receive it, then move on to the next neighbor Pray continually for those who have wronged you, that Jesus may convict them of their wrongdoing. At the same time, actively seek more opportunities to spread the gospel. My heart wrestles with the reality that people have scorned me for being a Christian, but I cannot be content knowing they are destined for Hell. I must pray for them, because God did not send Jesus just for me but for them as well.
Unlike my bathroom experience, Jesus isn’t rattled. He’s not overwhelmed. He doesn't need 30 seconds of peace to gather Himself. He is peace. In every storm, even the ones that pound on the bathroom door, He’s calm. And He’s present.
So whatever storm you're facing today remember: even the wind and the waves obey Him.

Fathers Who Lead: A Legacy of Faith
I write this article the day after Father’s Day As Pastor Curt says, “The most important holiday we celebrate, sans Easter ” LOL and thanks for the cupcake(s)! Father’s Day ties into this month’s Mission Spotlight on the Pregnancy Resource Center (PRC) and how men and fathers lead the family unit
Dads are the quiet heroes; they step up and lead Many studies show that when the dad leads the family to church, the family is more likely to attend regularly This is according to the Barna Group, a Christian research organization.

BIBLE:
the only inspired record of God’s revelation to us
SIN:
the only thing standing between God and man
JESUS CHRIST:
The only perfect One who paid for sin
THE GOSPEL:
The only record of Jesus’ life
SALVATION:
the only hope for sinful man
FAITH:
Is truly “saving faith” only when it includes repentance, confession of Jesus Christ as the Son of God, and baptism just as every convert responded after Jesus’ resurrection.
