ABOUT THE VIP INITIATIVE

As the district launches our new strategic plan our vision has evolved to “Advancing Educational Excellence through Innovation”. With this, we want to create a catalyst for a safe culture for innovation. We will invite everyone to help us as we build capacity for transformation. Students, staff, and parents with the community are invited to help as we create schools that better prepare students for future workforce readiness.

Some of the things that those interested in becoming VIPs can expect:Ingoude Company
Threre will be others visiting your class to learn about the safe beta/innovation project you are doing. There will be opportunities to attend training related to the program you are using.
There will be additional compensation provided for planning and required VIP Meet Ups.
Seven Components of the Capital School District VIPs Initiative

WHAT ARE VIP MEET UPS?
These are opportunities when VIPs will share how the implementation of new innovation projects are going with others (staff, students, and parents with the community). On selected occasions, CSAC, SSAC & SPAC members will provide feedback.

We want an inclusive culture that nurtures innovation and change. We want to build an organizational culture that embeds our new vision statement, mission and core values into actions. We want a bottom up and top down culture that cultivates the leadership of students, staff and parents with community.

The Superintendent Student Advisory Council (SSAC) will play a prominent role in encouraging staff to participate in our new Valued Innovation Partners (VIPs) Initiative The district’s administrators and CEA executive team are planning partners to encourage staff to participate in new “safe beta projects or innovation projects” that Capital Board Members, Dr. Cade, Dr. Cahoon, and/or Dr. Olmstead have identified through Digital Promise - The National League of Innovative Schools
The Superintendent Parent & Community Advisory Council (SPCAC) and CEO’s Staff Advisory Council (CSAC) will also help select programs and identify potential local partnerships with community-based organizations to help strengthen our vision for care and creativity.
STEAM programs will be required at each grade level We will intentionally solicit more participation from our alumni to support student programs that deepen participation in STEAM programs like vex robotics, esports, gaming, coding, etc.

We will convene interest meetings for staff to learn about the new offerings involved in being a VIP These meetings will be coordinated with Executive Team and CEA Leadership.
