New LVHN Hospital here to better serve Carbon County
Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH)–Carbon is here, open and now offering a new generation of health care to the residents of Carbon County. LVH–Carbon opened its doors to cheers and applause during a special ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new hospital campus in Lehighton. The 18-month, $80 million project includes the 100,000-square-foot hospital and adjoining health
center and development of the campus on Blakeslee Boulevard Drive East. The new hospital deepens Lehigh Valley Health Network’s (LVHN) commitment to the local community, a partnership that has been in place for decades. LVHN is reinforcing its commitment to Carbon County by providing better access to more comprehensive care and still having the resources of the entire health network available.
LVH–Carbon is not only designed for the community’s needs today; it has a facility expansion plan should the need arise. Once on campus, you will find abundant, convenient, free parking. There are also smart-charging stations available for electric vehicles. From design to completion, every aspect of LVH–Carbon focuses on the best patient experience and the best colleague experience for the 120 employed there.
LVHN employs approximately 20,000 colleagues throughout its 13 hospital campuses and numerous multispecialty locations, ambulatory surgery centers, primary and specialty care physician practices, ExpressCARE locations, health centers and other operations. LVH–Carbon is part of LVHN’s Northwest Region, an LVHN territory established last year which includes neighboring regional hospitals: LVH–Hazleton in Luzerne County and LVH–Schuylkill in Schuylkill County.
