Representatives of Kay Meek Centre welcomed comedian and political satirist Rick Mercer at a fundraising gala for the West Vancouver theatre June 10. Those in attendance enjoyed a reception, followed by a performance by the man known as “Canada’s Unofficial Opposition.” A wrap party and meet-and-greet with the well-known Canadian personality capped off the evening. Proceeds will support the centre and its Legacy Fund for Artistic Excellence and Youth Opportunity.
