Opening Retreat - Sponsored by Fresh Mark Inc.

A 48-hour experience that focuses on Stark County’s history, strengths and challenges and gaining insight into personal leadership styles, team building, and ethics.

Stark County Day

Class members traverse nearly 100 miles of the county. Similarities/differences and assets/ challenges are addressed as community leaders present throughout the day.

Economic Growth and DevelopmentSponsored by Midwest Industrial Supply

Explore the components of economic growth and discuss current issues affecting the economic health of our community through tours and panel discussions. Lunch & in-depth conversation with CEO’s.

Participants explore the features of a positive quality of life and their availability in Stark County. The role of the arts in our community’s emotional, educational and financial well-being is addressed.

An overview of the civil and criminal justice systems, processes, and services to the community, with a particular emphasis on juvenile issues. Lunch with judges in their chambers.

Citizenship Day

our Mission: leadership stark county develops a community of engaged leaders committed to positively impact our region.

Signature Program

For experienced and emerging leaders

Time Commitment:

A 10-month program requiring a commitment of about 1 ½ days per month

Next program opportunity:

Taking applications beginning January 2023 for the 2023-2024 session

How it works:

Candidates are selected based on a written application, interviews, & our commitment to a class that is professionally, geographically, and culturally diverse. Tuition - $3,000

Benefits: Learn to use your personal strengths for increased e ectiveness.

Increased competency in strategic agility, innovation, collaboration, communication, relationship building, and service to others

Gain an understanding of local issues, assets, and resources.

Opportunities to get involved and make a positive impact in Stark County

Spotlight for Young Professionals For young professionals in their 20’s to mid 30’s.

Time Commitment: Six classes, 4-6 p.m.

Youth Leadership Academy

Leadership development for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors.

Time Commitment:

First year - One-day retreat and six sessions; Second year - four classes held at local colleges; Third year - two classes
