TheyworkedveryhardtomakeupdatedandrelevantrevisionstoourexistingBylawstoensurewehave clear,consistent,andtransparentguidelinesaswemoveforwardandprogressinourmission.
OneadditionalchangecameastheresultoflastJuly’s2024MembershipSurvey,wasthenotionthatthe Chamberdoesagreatjobwithlegislativeadvocacy,whichwasdefinitelyatoppriorityduringthe pandemic,butnowtherehasbeenashiftintheneedsofourbusinesscommunity.
TheresultsfromthemembershipsurveyshowthereisanobviousdesirefortheChambertoreprioritize itseffortstofocusonthreeareas:bolsteringeconomicdevelopment,businessgrowth,andcommunity engagement.
Wecontinuetobefocusedonourcurrentmission:“Toserveandsupportourmembershipthrough advocacy,education,transparentleadership,andpassionforthegrowthofbusinessinandaround Canby,Oregon” Ourvisionis“WorkingtogethertodevelopCanbyasacommunityinwhichtowork,live, andplay”.Wearealsodedicatedonusingourcorevaluesasourguidinglight:“TotreatallChamber relationships,partnerships,andmembershipsthewaywewanttobetreated.”
TheconnectionbetweentourismandeconomicprosperityforCanbyisstrongandopportunityisupon us.WewillreframeourTourismCommittee,tobecomea“TourismTaskForce”whichwillrefocusto receiveinputfromCanbyareatourismindustrypartners. Bydoingsoitwillenableustowork collaborativelytodeterminewhatbringseconomicprosperitytoCanbyanditsbusinesses,andto supportoneanotherasacommunitypartnersinthesuccessfulstrategizing,execution,andmarketingof suchefforts
Webelievethisfreshperspectiveisneededtorespondandbringprosperityinacollaborativewaytoour membersandtheCanbycommunity.
