知り合いからのぜひ話してみてほしいと紹介を受けた。

彼と話していると自信に満ちた表情で ビジョンを語り聞いている自分までワクワクした。

チームを率いる彼の”flower of smileに触れてみよう

I met him in June of this year. I was introduced to him by an acquaintance who insisted I should talk to him.

As I spoke with him, his confident expression filled me with excitement as he shared his vision.

'An app that's perfect for you to find your favorites.'

Shortly after meeting him, I received news about a launch party to be held in Kyoto.

The name of that app is 'artics.'

He leads the team, and he encourages you to 'experience the flower of a smile.

Q,自分の人生で影響された人はいますか？

Have there been influential figures in your life?

フレディーマーキュリー

天才的な表現者で、惹きつけられます。人に限らず矛盾を抱えている人や物に美しさを感じることが 多いのですが、フレディーは彼自身の中の矛盾を、ダークで鬱々しい作品ではなく、人を楽しませる ためのパフォーマンスという形に止揚しており、その生き様を尊敬しています。彼自身も語っている ように、彼のライブは、オーディエンスをコントロールして彼の宗教の下に引き込もうとするのでは なく、宗教的なメッセージを排除し、ひたすら楽しんでもらう、そのような意図が含まれています。 僕も根本彼とすごい似ていると思っていて、孤独な面があるが人が大好きで、とにかく人に貢献する ことで自分の価値を感じたいんだと思っていて、そういった意味でシンパシーを感じます。

スティーブ・ジョブス

僕らもAppleのように、単なる課題解決ではなく、商品を通じて人々に夢や生きがいを与える、そん な「文化をつくる企業」に成長していきたいです。それを創ったジョブスは尊敬できる部分が沢山あ りますし、日々参考にしています。

また、彼の面白いのは、人格の成長と会社の成長が比例していたところです。初期のジョブスは天才 ではありながらクソ野郎で、その結果会社から追い出され、Appleの業績も落ちました。その後様々 な失敗を経て、人間的にも成長してAppleに戻ってきて、会社を超V時回復させ、人類史に残るイノ ベーションを起こしました。自分は矛盾を止揚して創作していく人生を送りたいと思っています。も ちろんプロダクトや会社をどんどん創作し成長させていきたいですが、同時に自分の人格や世界の見 方もアップデートし続け、いろんな景色を見てから死にたい欲求が強いです。そういった意味で、ジョ ブスのプロダクト、会社、人格の矛盾の止揚具合はとっても美しく、最高の人生だと思います。

Freddie Mercury

Freddie Mercury is a mesmerizing genius performer. I often find beauty in things and people who possess contradictions. Freddie expressed his own internal contradictions not through dark and depressing works, but through performances designed to entertain. I admire his way of life. As he has said, his concerts weren't about controlling the audience or pushing a religious message, but purely about having fun. I see a lot of myself in him – feeling lonely at times but loving people deeply, and wanting to find self-worth through contributing to others. I deeply resonate with him on that level.

Steve Jobs

I dream for my company to be like Apple, not just solving problems but offering dreams and purpose through products. Jobs, who built this culture, is someone I deeply admire and reference often.

What's fascinating about Jobs is that the growth of his personality aligned with the growth of his company. Though he was a genius, his early character flaws got him ousted from Apple, leading to the company's decline. After facing numerous setbacks, he matured and returned to Apple, leading it to phenomenal success and creating groundbreaking innovations. While I strive to continuously innovate and grow my products and company, I also want to evolve my personal beliefs and perspectives throughout life. In this sense, I view Jobs' harmonious blend of product development, company growth, and personal evolution as truly beautiful – an ideal life.

立石一真

オムロン創業者。SINIC理論という未来予想理論を1970年に発表。パソコンやインターネットも存 在しなかった時代に執筆されたのにも関わらず、情報化社会の出現など、21世紀前半までの社会シ ナリオを、高い精度で描き出しています。

新しい商品を作るときは、顧客のインサイトを探るのは当たり前です。同様に、真に人類に貢献した かったら、人類や社会に対するインサイトを深めることが必要だと考えています。彼のように、社会 に対する自分なりの哲学を持ち、理想の未来を表面的な予想ではなく本質から導き出し、それに基づ いて経営をするスタイルに強い影響を受けました。しかもただ学問的に社会分析を行うのではなく、 それを実行するためにマーケットにも当たり続け、経済の力を使い、時価総額数兆円規模の会社とい う手段へと発展させ、グローバル規模で人類に貢献してきた生き様もとても尊敬しています。

また、そんな凄まじい人生を送った彼が晩年に出した人生の結論が、「もっとも人を幸せにした人が、 最もよく幸せとなる」という言葉で、自分が人生を歩む上での、非常に信頼できる一番星になってい ます。

Kazuma Tateishi

Founder of Omron. In 1970, he presented the SINIC theory, a future prediction methodology. Astoundingly, he wrote this at a time before the existence of computers and the internet, yet he accurately predicted the emergence of the information society into the early 21st century.

When creating a new product, understanding customer insights is a given. Similarly, to truly contribute to humanity, I believe we need deep insights into society and humankind. I'm deeply influenced by Tateishi's approach of developing his own philosophy about society, predicting an ideal future not superficially but from its essence, and running a business based on it. He didn't just analyze society academically; he continuously engaged with the market, leveraged economic power, and grew his company into a trillion-yen enterprise, contributing to humanity on a global scale. I deeply respect this approach.

Furthermore, after his remarkable life, one of his concluding life philosophies was: "Those who make the most people happy become the happiest." This statement serves as a guiding star in my life journey.

Q,選択するときに何を軸に決めているか？

What do you prioritize when making decisions?

長期：人類に圧倒的に貢献できるかどうか。

「もっとも人を幸せにした人が、最もよく幸せとなる」なら、誰よりも人類に貢献したいでしょう。 あとせっかくなら、圧倒的に貢献した景色を見てみてから死にたい。

長期的にこれが達成できるための選択肢を取るようにしています。例えば人類への圧倒的貢献につな がらないかもしれない事業を立ち上げ、それに数年間縛られる、みたいなことは絶対したくないです。 どうせ同じ時間を費やすなら、「めちゃくちゃ人類に貢献できるかもしれない！」と思いながら働き たいものです。

短期：ワクワクするか、好きか

一番星のように輝く、長期的に目指すものを定められれば、あとは将来の悩みとか明日の不安を抱い てもしょうがないと思います。目の前のしていることを楽しむ。楽しむには、ワクワクすることや好 きなことをやる。

もちろん長期的にでかいことを成し遂げたいなら辛いこともしないといけないですが、長期的に本当 にやりたいことをやっているなら、目の前のこともそこへの創作プロセスの一つとして、辛いながら もワクワクして、好きという感情の中手や頭を動かしていると思います。過去の偉人たちも、嫌々苦 しみながら努力していた人はいないはずです。

だから、長期的には人類に圧倒的に貢献できる、ワクワクして好きなことを自分は選択します。

Long-Term: Can it significantly benefit humanity?

Believing that "those who bring the greatest happiness to others will be the happiest ," I aim to contribute more than anyone else. Ideally, I'd like to witness the positive changes my contributions bring about before my time is up. I always try to choose options that allow me to achieve this longterm goal. For instance, I wouldn't want to start a startup that doesn't have a potential significant impact on humanity and then be tied down to it for years. If I'm going to invest my time, I want to work towards something that might make an immense difference.

Short-Term: Does it excite me? Do I love it?

Once you have a clear long-term vision, everyday worries seem trivial. It's essential to enjoy the journey. That means doing things that excite you or activities you genuinely love. Of course, aiming for significant long-term achievements often involves challenges. Still, if you're genuinely passionate about your ultimate goal, even immediate hurdles become part of an exciting creative process. I doubt the great figures of the past begrudgingly toiled away—they must have loved what they were doing.

Thus, in my decision-making, I prioritize actions that can make a profound impact on humanity in the long run and things that genuinely excite and resonate with me in the short term.

Q,行動したい、起業したい人に伝えたいことはありますか？

What would you like to convey to those who want to take action or start a business?

人類という種族がここまで発展できてきた大きな要因の一つは、我々は「お前はこれをしたら幸せに なる」という虚像を信じる力が優れていて、集団の力を活用できたからだと考えます。だからこそ、 幼少期から社会に与えられてきたレールのような虚像を信じてしまい、自分の人生を俯瞰して考えて 自分の定義した幸せのために行動するのが難しいのは仕方ないことだと思います。皆がそれをできた ら、人類はまとまらず、とっくに滅びています。

けど、そんな中でも、細かい割合は分かりませんが、多分一部、脳がバグってて、そのような虚像が 効きづらい人間が存在してるんだと思います。そういう人々は、新しい土地を発見してコミュニティー に新たな価値を吹き込むか、はたまた動物に食われて死ぬかの2択でしょう。後者の方が全然多いと は思いますが、そういう人生だったんだと思います。そういう人が一部いないと人類は拡張できませ ん。これはもう人類が全体として生き残るために組み込まれたプログラム、すなわち役割であると思 います。もしあなたもバグっている側の人間かもしれないなら、人類のための役割を全うして、アホ みたいに挑戦するしかないのではないでしょうか。幸い今の時代だと食われて死ぬことはないですし。

あと自分が行動する上で拠り所になっている価値観として大きいのは、ぶっちゃけスティーブ・ジョ ブスやイーロンマスクの20歳の時と、自分たちの今は、大して差がないという考えです。だから、 物理的に自分が彼らを超えられない訳はないと。今後の努力や挑戦次第で彼らの見てきた景色が見れ るかもしれないなら、やるしかないでしょ、って感じです。

One of the primary reasons humanity has evolved so much is our unique ability, unlike other species, to believe in illusions or "religions" that suggest, "If you do this, you'll be happy." We harness the power of collective belief. Therefore, it's understandable why many find it challenging to break free from societal norms or "tracks" instilled since childhood and act towards their own definition of happiness. If everyone could easily do this, humanity might not have cohered and perhaps even perished by now.

However, I believe there's a small percentage of people whose brains might be "wired differently," making them less susceptible to these collective illusions. Such individuals might discover new horizons, infuse new values into communities, or in more primitive times, face dangers and possibly perish. Even if the latter is more common, humanity needs these outliers to grow and expand. It's like a built-in program for the survival of our species. So, if you think you might be one of these outliers, I believe your role is to boldly take on challenges for the sake of humanity. Thankfully, in our modern era, you don't have to worry about literal survival threats.

Another perspective that drives me, especially for young individuals, is the belief that there's not much difference between the likes of Steve Jobs or Elon Musk at age 20 and us. This means that physically, there's no reason we can't surpass them. If with effort and challenges, we have the potential to see the world they did, then we must seize the opportunity.

Q, 悩むことはありますか？

Do you ever have concerns or worries?

多分根が相当アホでポジティブなため、悩むことはあまりないです。基本何でも上手くできると心の 底から信じて疑わないし、デメリットも大きいですが、都合の悪い過去は結構忘れてます。

ただ、そんな中でも疲れたり希望を持ちづらかったりすることもあります。そんな時には、「影響を 受けた人」たちのような、今の僕らの当たり前をつくってくれた過去の偉人を思い出し、自分より圧 倒的に辛く苦しい環境を乗り越えてきた人々がいるんだから、同じ人間だし、自分にもできないわけ がない、と勇気をもらっています。社会に潰されそうになりながらも、賢く諦めず、逃げず、突き進 んできた人たちは本当に尊敬するし、自分もそのような生き様を後世に見せ、励ますことで、恩送り をできるようになりたいです。

Q, 憧れている人はいますか？

Do you admire anyone?

天才的なミュージシャンや画家に、たまに憧れを抱くことがあります。

自分自身から発せられる表現物自体で多くの人の心を動かす彼らは、もちろんそれ自体も最高の生き 甲斐だと思いますし、自分の価値が定量化しづらいため生きる不安を抱きやすそうだなと思う反面、 そのアンバランスな矛盾と美しさに魅了されます。

To be honest, I'm inherently optimistic, so I don't tend to dwell on problems. Deep down, I truly believe I can handle anything thrown my way. Even though this outlook has its downsides, I've conveniently forgotten most of the inconvenient past events.

However, there are moments when I feel exhausted or lose hope. In such times, I think of great figures from history who shaped the world as we know it. Remembering that these individuals overcame far greater challenges than I currently face gives me courage. After all, they're just humans like me, so why can't I do the same? I truly admire those who've pushed forward despite societal pressures. I hope to inspire future generations with the same tenacity and, in doing so, pass on the legacy of those who inspired me.

I occasionally find myself admiring genius musicians and artists. The way they touch people's hearts through their unique expressions is truly a fulfilling way to live. On one hand, I believe their immeasurable self-worth might make them prone to existential anxieties. On the other hand, I'm captivated by the beautiful balance and contradiction of their lives.

What does the "flower of smile" mean to you?

articsです。今はまだsmileを与えきれていないかもですが、少しづつ、着実に、

flower of smileを増やしていきたいです。

初めは、自分の「好きだ！」という感情に、共感できる新たな友人を繋げて あげる。そして、大好きな友人たちともっと「好き」というあなたらしい感 性や価値観を共有しやすい空間を作る。その友人の輪の中で、新しい自分ら しい作品に出会えるようになれば、もっと自分らしさや自分の生きたい人生、 自分なりの幸せが見えてきて、後悔のない一度きりの人生を送れる人が増え

ると信じています。

より多くの人が自分らしい作品に出会えて、創作物に触れる機会が増えれば、 より多くのアーティストに活躍の機会が与えられるようにもなる。そうなれ

ば、自分の好きを深めて、自分らしさを再発見し、それを表現し始めた人が、 共感してくれるファンに出会えるようになる。そしてしっかりと僕らが表現 者の価値を最大化し、貨幣価値に落とし込むことができれば、自分の好きな ことで本当に生きていける人が増える。

このようにして、我々は21世紀のルネサンスの到来に貢献し、世界中の誰よ りもflower of smileを与えられるような集団に成長していきたいです。

What does the

For me, it's "artics". While we might not be fully spreading smiles yet, I aim to steadily cultivate more "flowers of smile."

Initially, our goal is to connect people with new friends who can resonate with their passions. Then, we want to create spaces where close friends can more readily share their unique sensibilities and values grounded in their shared interests. I believe that within these circles of friends, as people discover artworks that reflect their individuality, they'll gain clarity about the life they want and their definition of happiness, ultimately leading to a life with fewer regrets.

The more people encounter artworks that resonate with their identity, the more opportunities artists will get to shine. If this happens, those who delve deeper into their passions, rediscover their essence, and start expressing it, will find fans who empathize with them. If we can then amplify the value of these artists and monetize their creations effectively, the number of people truly living through their passions will increase.

By doing so, we aspire to contribute to the arrival of a 21st-century Renaissance and evolve into a collective that can offer the "flower of smile" more than anyone else in the world.
