Darters claim first victory The Canberra Darters claimed their first win of the season in the final round of the Australian Netball League. The Darters hosted Queensland Fusion and had an eight-goal lead at the main break. The score was level at three-quarter time with the Darters going on to win 44-40. Darters coach Melinda Clarke said she was impressed by her team’s win. “I think we’ve improved as the season has gone on and I think that the game … showed what we had improved on throughout the season and how far the girls have come, so it was a nice reward for their hard work and effort.” Unfortunately it was a different story in the second game, with the Darters going down by 27 goals, the Fusion winning 58-31.
