Angie depicts some of the reasons drivers will spend $172 that could be used in a more rewarding way.

Traffic Division Constable Kuster and officers from Camrose Police Service are increasingly concerned with the number of drivers who send text messages, have a cell phone to their ear, read maps, watch DVD’s, use laptops or flip through the pages of a magazine or newspaper while driving. It’s not surprising for law enforcement personnel to witness dogs on the laps of drivers – or vehicle operators applying cosmetics when they should be tending to their vehicle, watching for pedestrians and other motorists, and observing road conditions.
