Introduction “As we look ahead to autumn winter, we’re excited to introduce fresh colours, textures and prints to our collections. This season we’ve honed in on three different looks to bring style and enduring designs to customers, encouraging them to invest in quality pieces that stand the test of time. A range of on-trend accessories accompany the collections, allowing for small-scale home refreshes for the new season. Affordability remains at the core of Habitat, and we’re pleased to launch a range of new products that combine great value with outstanding design.

This season we also welcome new additions to the debut Habitat Kids collection that launched last year, with a selection of playful homeware and furniture pieces designed to educate and inspire children aged between four and ten.” Rona Olds Director of Product Habitat Home & Furniture

Habitat is available both online at habitat.co.uk and argos.co.uk and in selected Sainsbury’s stores nationwide. Online orders can be fulfilled via Click & Collect at selected stores, alongside same day and named day home delivery, subject to availability. Afterglow Afterglow is a nostalgic look back at the glamour and richness of 1970s fashion and interiors, updated with a modern sleekness for today’s urban spaces. The collection harks back to the quintessential brown and orange colour pairing, reinvigorated in a subtle symphony of earthy tones and textured wood finishes that warms the home during the colder months. Rich velvet upholstery enhances the contemporary shapes and bold patterns of the home accessories, made more luxurious by accents of gold and ribbed glass.

Trending: Drinks Cabinets “Despite the return to normality, the UK is still loving home bars and cocktail-making. The #homebar hashtag currently has over 864,000 posts on Instagram, as people continue to entertain at home and show off their mixology skills. In a move away from bar trolleys, customers are increasingly investing in more permanent and versatile solutions, with Google searches for ‘drinks cabinet’ up +90% in the last 3 months.” Rachael Fell Head of Buying - Furniture

Material Matters: Dark Wood “Light Scandi-style woods such as pine have held the spotlight in the design world, however we’re predicting richer and darker hues to be popular this year. As we look to autumn, we’re craving cosy spaces that envelop us in a sense of warmth and security. The mahogany and walnut hues of mid-century design have a slightly retro appeal that adds another layer of personality to a space. Our Mid-Century Side Table is defined by clean lines and a highly functional design. Crafted from mango wood, its rich colour has a wonderfully warming effect on interiors.” Andrew Tanner Head of Design

Trending: Gilded Glamour “A nod towards cinema halls and luxe cocktail lounges, metallic accents are a quick and easy way to make a style statement. Pops of high-shine gold not only exude glamour and sophistication but help to break up darker spaces by reflecting light around the room. For an understated home refresh, opt for smaller pieces such as table lamps or candles that double up as sculptural objets” Andrew Tanner Head of Design

Chain Print Bed Set - Double £38

Geo Bed Set - Double £20

Pattern Story: Retro Geometrics “Two statement prints define this collection: a large-scale chain motif and a repeating diamond pattern, both conceived by Habitat’s in-house design studio. Echoing the balanced forms and abstract shapes inspired by vintage scarf designs, both prints are a nod to the fashions of the decade and can even be used in tandem for a more-is-more, pattern-drenched look.”

Curiosity This is a subtly eclectic collection that combines a range of styles, prints and hues. Classic prints and new palettes collide in the form of traditional chintz alongside contemporary coloured glass and display-worthy accessories. Vibrant candles, objets and vases have been designed for curation on shelving or sideboard displays, catering to our desire to collect and exhibit. Saturated shades of plum, teal and indigo unite the collection, uplifted by contemporary pops of hot pink and mustard.

With many low on space, compact design is paramount and gone are the days of putting up with clunky, ill-fitting office furniture. Our new Jessie Wall Shelf offers valuable shelf space and a worktop that can be used in any room in the home. Its display-style shelving means it can be styled up and curated as an extension of interior schemes.” Rachael Fell Head of Buying - Furniture
