Braum's: We both came to the conclusion that Braum's has the best fries. Their Braum's Sauce is AMAZING on fries. Next to Freddy's, I liked Braum's shakes the best. Josie ranked their shakes third. Freddy's: Has the best shake. The chocolate shake is the best flavor but any shake from Freddy's is guaranteed to be good. Wright's: Served us with the freshest fries and tasted the second best. These fries are best with a bit of ketchup. If you are looking for more of a homemade flavor, then a shake from Wright's is perfect for you. Whataburger: Had the second-best shakes to Josie. Although their fries are smacking, neither of us ranked Whata in our top two for fries. The spicy ketchup is always bussin' though.

Erin Caldwell

What's next for you? In the fall I start school at Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine. How crazy does it feel to be graduating? It feels SO crazy, I honestly can't believe it. It hasn't really sunk in. Are you excited or scared? Or both? Definitely both. It's scary because I'm moving somewhere new and I don't know anyone, but it's exciting because of all the possibilities. Are you going to go to Dandy's one last time before you leave Durant? Of course! I have to.

Erin Caldwell is a Senior from Boswell, OK. She is in the Honors Program, President of the Student Government Association, and she's been active in Tri Sigma, Alumni Legacy Leaders, and many other organizations during her time at Southeastern. In just a few short weeks, she will be a gradate of SOSU.

The Campus Note

What is one thing you wish you could go back and tell your freshman self? Go make friends! Seriously, go out and make friends. I was really shy my first year here and I wish I had gotten out of my shell sooner than I did. What is the most important thing college has taught you? How to be myself. I was really shy my freshman year and since then I've come out of my shell. Southeastern gave me the chance to get to learn how to be myself. I am who I am today because of that. What's one Southeastern tradition you'll always follow? I'll be back for Homecoming! I want to be able to come back and see friends and be at the game. That's important to me.

What the heck is a trash journal? Trash journaling is a type of journaling inspired by the 90's phenomenon of "trash culture". Super vintage, right? Trash journals combine scrapbooking and collages to make super funky creations. Not only are they super fun to make, it's easy too! Article by Josie Frazier

Start saving momentos from vacations, holidays, and everyday life. The majority of the pages in my trash journal are travel themed. I keep anything I can find, most of the time it is receipts and brochures that would normally be thrown away! I love keeping a trash journal because there are no rules to it!
