A late-summer Texas sun beamed the perfect amount of heat down on the capacity crowd of music fans in Zilker Park. Austin upheld its title as the “Live Music Capital of the World” with a diverse line-up featuring many stars out on their own or with new outfits. David Byrne brought a wild performance of music and dance that reminded fans that he remains one of our greatest musical innovators. Jenny Lewis and Conor Oberst jumped out on their own name with roaring new bands, and alongside longtime friend M. Ward. ACL also featured decade-spanning set lists from headliners Beck and Foo Fighters.
