MASTER OF HEALTH PROFESSIONS EDUCATION The MHPE degree provides education in leadership, change management, curriculum design and teaching skills for clinicians of all disciplines.

GOALS OF THE MHPE DEGREE PROGRAM • • • •

This degree prepares interested healthcare professionals and scientists for academic careers in health professions education, to address the growing need in America’s expanding health professions training programs.

Health professionals interested in pursuing academic positions Clinicians interested in developing their leadership and teaching skills Junior faculty (basic science and clinical) wanting to advance to leadership roles Medical residents interested in academic careers

TUITION COST: • •

$750 per credit Primary care physicians and PAs in practice may be eligible for federal support through the Primary Care Champions Fellowship program.

30-credit, six-term program, delivered in hybrid format. Courses are delivered in 16-week fall /spring semesters and 12-week summer terms. The program can be completed in 24 months, or extended over a longer period of time.

LEARNING THROUGH REAL-LIFE APPLICATION

Students complete two year-long projects to address specific needs identified within their own practice and/ or teaching settings, putting lessons to immediate use in ways that directly impact their daily work.

CHANGE MANAGEMENT

The leadership training in this program is focused around identifying and addressing needs for change, and working with key stakeholders to facilitate the process.
