VIEW MY WORK
I believe that good architectural design is not just about creating an intelligent blend of style, form and function. It is also a form of storytelling.

MULTI-FAMILY
This project was designed to look as a single project, but in the reality it was a two-units family house.
The site was very challenging because of the several regulations and budget restrictions. Even though it was possible to maximize space distribution and capacity, achieving an appealing whole unity.
My role in this project was designing all the architecture and the interior design.

COMPOSITION
In terms of composition, the two units were articulated by a central element In both houses the central element was organizing circulations and services, to optimize budget and sound isolation.
In the exterior, a firstlevel plane of composition is setting the base for the upper volumes playing with textures and shadows.
The architecture was intended to highlight pure lines and clean geometries. The beauty of the volumes and objects articulated by composition planes.
It is a playful composition of full and void making more interesting the volumes.

NATURAL LIGHT
One of the main goals of the design was to achieve the maximum amount of natural light, to reduce electricity usage
As a result, every space in the house has a natural font of light, making it more comfortable and pleasant to be in the spaces.
The intetior hight of the floors was thougth to provide a feeling of open space but not to much to make it feel out of scale
To deal with the cold temperatures the material were carefully selected: wood tiles, warm textures and colors.
In the first level are the social spaces including a guest room. In the second level are the private areas and a doble hight hall to look to the stairs.

STAGING PROJECTS
One of the biggest housing development companies in Colombia, Amarilo, partnered up with me to deliver fast staging solutions in different cities, within different budgets, scopes, and schedules simultaneously, to meet tight deadlines.
The scope of the service provided was: Surveys, 3D interior design, industrial design, fabrics selection, acquisitions, furniture production, transportation, and installation.
We completed more than 20 projects in a time frame of 8 months, without having a single quality complaint and never failed to meet the deadline.
03. Staging projects
All the furniture was designed and produced by me. Clean composition: A floating bench invites you and connects with the desk. Floating look, clean lines, and volume intersections.

INTERIOR DESIGN CONCEPT
The main view of the reception entry and the waiting room. In the first plane is the counter with a double height. Then a waiting lounge with big armchairs and a big living room, next to a fireplace. At the end of the room a Transparent Box to serve as a meeting room, right before you can access the floating stairs. Location: Bogotá, Colombia. Weather: Cold.

General Interior Design Concept
One of the core values at Melanie Klein School is honesty and transparency between parents and the school. Thus, a stronger culture based on trusting each other is cultivated.
The purpose then, was to interpret these core values through the architecture. Creating a strong feeling of transparency at the reception volume, allows parents and the general public to understand through the experience from the first moment they enter the building, what are MK´s values.
Also, through the volumetric composition, more value is added to the experience by developing interior space exploration. Through this experience, any guest will be guided with order and curiosity. In that manner, any person inside the building will get a welcoming feeling and a natural wish to linger in the space.

DESIGN PROCESS
The first step in my design process is to explore lines, forms, intentions, and volumes freely. I just get carried away by my emotions. Through this process, I connect the body, mind, soul, and heart.
Complete Study Room
What was the project about?
I had to define the guidelines for the third parties at the service stations that could rent out commercial spots, so they would know how to design facades and interiors.
What was the Idea?
I took one of the most noticeable features of Terpel´s service stations: the curves. Especially the cover of the service isles. I just played with it and those drawings are the result.
DESIGN PROCESS
What was the result?
The exploration ended up with a volumetric idea that I turned into reality using different 3D Software. I defined two possible scenarios: Individual volumes and collective volumes.
The second step is about thinking about how this exploration can be functional and determining which elements about form are more relevant.
