Hello, I’m Camille!

I’m a senior graduating with a major in interior design and a minor in business administration from the University of Florida this Spring. My coursework at UF has a strong architectural background and also enabled me to try projects in all sectors of commercial interior design. Some of my most memorable activities during my time at UF include being an ambassador for our college, secretary of our ASID student chapter, a dancer for Extreme Dance Company, and studying abroad in Germany (with side trips to Paris and Barcelona).

As a child, I was both artistic and academic. For Christmas one year I remember asking for crafting supplies and a microscope. On top of these interests, I was also intrigued by entrepreneurship. I created multiple “businesses” in elementary and middle school, one of which I hired friends to help make bracelets to be sold at a stand in my front yard. My interests seemed to conflict with each other and by the time college rolled around, I was left to choose between a major in interiors or microbiology. Luckily I chose interior design, which has turned out to be the perfect blend of all three!

This project, Botanicals Cosmetics, was created during my junior year and showed me that retail interior design is what I am truly passionate about. I enjoyed building this company from the ground up and hope to create a real brand of my own someday .
