Editor’s Letter

Welcome to the first edition of OCAD MAGAZINE!

I've worked for OCAD for over 7 years now, and I still get the same buzz as I did the first time I came online and opened students work, from all over the world, to help support them on their creative journey. Our students are as passionate as ever, online learning is opening more creative doors than ever, and we have an incredible team of tutors that are providing the best workshops and mentoring across a vast range of art specialisms than ever before - what a great time to be at OCAD!

This edition looks at what is happening behind the scenes as students share their experiences, their work, and their aspirations for the future. It has been wonderful to speak to students from all levels and hear directly what OCAD means to them and how they are gaining so much from their online community. For many of our students across the world there are challenges and barriers to learning, and yet, together, with the help of tutors and each other, we are making creative dreams come true; it is a priviledge to be a part of that Well done to all those, particularly whose odds are stacked against them, who continue to work and reach out to ensure they don't let go of their passion for the arts - we are all with you!

Thanks to all the students invovled in writing the many articles you will read and the many more that share their work with us - they are the ones who are inspiring each other and achieving great things through their hard work and dedication to their courses and studies
