

TASK 10 - PAUL CEZANNE

Level 2 Certificate in Art and Design students are introduced to historical contexts in the early stages of their course. For this task, we look at Paul Cezanne; his life, his work, his approach and his technique. Students gather relevant information and trial Post Impressionist painting styles and techniques.
They present their work and have the chance to discuss their progress and developing skills with other students and their course tutor.
Following research and practical explorations, we then encourage students to create their own compositions and consider the forms and subject they will produce as a final outcome This portfolio showcases the outcomes that a selection of our students have produced for this task


They can choose media, scale and subject themselves but we reflect on how Cezanne influenced their work
