Enameling is the process of fusing colorful glass onto metal. In this open studio, you will have access to kiln time, along with guidance from the instructor. Students should bring projects they are working on, as this workshop is intended for students with jewelry experience. Our studio uses unleaded enamel only, and the kiln is suitable for jewelry scale items only. There is a $25 materials fee payable to the instructor for the enamel colors and other consumables, but please bring metals and other materials you intend to use.
Complete a project started in another class, work on a project of your own design, or use the workshop to get started with hand tool woodworking. If you are a beginning hand tool woodworker, you’ll start off with a tidy little mortise and tenon shadow box with a lift lid, with plenty of options for making it your own. Open to beginning and continuing hand tool woodworkers. If you have any questions, please email the instructor at danparet@gmail.com.
