Myself and Guest Editor, Jayne Gage, took to the wheel of a white convertible Mustang (we revelled in the cliche) and drove north from LA to Mendocino, then back down to San Francisco. On our journey we gorged on Californian fare, slept in heavenly hotels, danced with the locals and gasped at the beauty of the sunset as it dipped into the Pacific Ocean.
