I am deeply passionate about human-centric design, dedicated to creating spaces that enhance functionality, promote well-being, and foster meaningful user engagement. With a comprehensive understanding of designing environments that prioritize the diverse and evolving needs of individuals, I strive to incorporate principles of sustainability and mindfulness into every project. For me, truly successful design goes beyond aesthetics—it positively impacts how people feel and interact within a space. I focus on creating interiors that are visually inspiring and highly practical, elevating the user experience through thoughtful, human-centered solutions. Every detail I incorporate is intentional, enriching lives by making spaces more comfortable, accessible, and engaging. I believe design is a powerful tool for creating connections and improving quality of life, ensuring that while memories may fade, experiences last forever.
Mood boards are how I start each project, creating a feeling and overall experience I want the user to feel using and moving through the space. This is a mood board that expresses my own personal experiences in life along with the ones I am creating within my designs
The inspiration for Timeless Café originated from the memory of my best friend’s wedding, a day filled with love, joy, and unforgettable moments. Drawing from this deeply personal experience, I sought to capture the emotional warmth, beauty, and shared happiness that weddings naturally evoke. The café’s design is carefully crafted to invite guests into an environment that not only reflects the charm and elegance of such significant life events but also allows them to connect with a sense of love and nostalgia. Through a blend of modern design elements and sentimental touches, Timeless Café offers a comforting and inviting atmosphere that embodies the uniqueness and intimacy of these cherished moments. The space is designed to bring people together, much like weddings do, fostering a sense of connection and celebration, while also offering the serenity and warmth that encourages reflection on life’s most beautiful experiences. In this way, the café becomes more than just a place to dine—it transforms into a shared experience of love, memory, and timeless emotion.
We were given a building in Phoenix, Arizona, and tasked with transforming a personal memory into a coffee shop. The goal was to use the memory to replicate a specific feeling within the space, creating an atmosphere that resonates emotionally with visitors. Additionally, we were required to include a designated area that directly connects back to the memory.
Process
While designing Timeless Cafe, I relied heavily on my mood board to capture the essence of my best friend’s wedding and ensure that I did it justice by evoking the right feeling. I utilized bubble diagrams and sketching for spatial planning, focusing specifically on designing booths for cake tasting to create a unique experience that honors the celebratory spirit of the event.

Storyland Adventures
Project Type: Retail
Location: Breckenridge, Colorado
Time Frame: 6 weeks
Concept:
This retail space will prioritize children’s development by offering a curated selection of educational toys and activities that promote learning through play, while also fostering creativity and community through imaginative play areas and engaging events. Storyland Adventures is envisioned as a vibrant hub of exploration and discovery, designed to ignite children’s imaginations and cultivate a lifelong passion for reading and learning. The space features whimsical architecture, playful details, and vibrant colors that captivate young minds. Different types of lighting will enhance the experience across various zones, with soft ambient lighting creating cozy reading corners, brighter dynamic lighting stimulating energy in play areas, and task lighting providing focused illumination in creative zones. By thoughtfully integrating these lighting solutions, Storyland Adventures will cater to all learning styles, nurturing a welcoming environment that celebrates childhood joy and encourages holistic growth.
In this project, we were tasked with designing a retail store, with the freedom to choose both its location and type of retail, allowing us to tailor the design to a specific market and context. The primary focus was on how to use lighting to enhance the space, highlight products, and create an atmosphere that elevates the overall customer experience. I chose to design a children’s bookstore focusing on creating an engaging environment for both children and adults.
Process
I chose Breckenridge, CO, as the location for the store, aiming to create a space that appeals to both visitors and local residents. The design fosters a fun, memorable experience that encourages return visits. By developing a parti and using heavy zoning, I guided the spatial planning to create distinct moments throughout the space. These zones encourage exploration, learning, and enjoyment, transforming the store into an engaging environment that celebrates creativity and curiosity.

NEXT Advertising
Project Type: Commercial Workplace
Location: Chicago, Illinois
Time Frame: 10 weeks
Concept:
The inspiration for Next Advertising comes from the vibrant energy of Chicago’s art scene, where the city serves as a living gallery of creativity and expression. The workspace reimagines employees as artists and the office as their canvas, drawing influence from the dynamic neighborhoods of Pilsen and the structured ambiance of The Loop. Collaborative zones feature bold colors, reclaimed wood, spray-painted finishes, and graphic prints to bring the raw vibrancy of street art into the space. These areas are designed to stimulate creativity while providing inclusive solutions, such as sound-absorbing materials and customizable lighting, for diverse sensory needs. Focused zones, inspired by the elegance of The Loop, use neutral tones, polished stone, and ergonomic furniture to create a calm environment that supports deep work. Together, these spaces celebrate artistry, collaboration, and personal well-being, transforming the office into a dynamic hub of creativity and connection
NEXT is a global creative agency transforming brands through innovation in advertising, digital, and strategy. With the opening of our Chicago office, we aim to foster a dynamic environment that inspires creativity, connection, and meaningful brand experiences. At NEXT, we are driven to influence change, impact culture, and build lasting connections between brands and their audiences.
Process
I drew inspiration from Chicago’s vibrant street art and culturally rich neighborhoods, each with its own unique story to tell. This dynamic urban tapestry sparked the idea to integrate the creative process with Steelcase’s space typologies. By weaving these elements together, I developed an office design that not only fosters creativity but also encourages meaningful collaboration and celebrates artistic expression at every turn. The result is a workspace that embodies the spirit of Chicago.

Willow Lake Student Farm
Project Type: Educational
Location: Manhattan, Kansas
Time Frame: 9 weeks
Recognition: Selected for “Made in Manhattan” Showcase for Kansas City Design Week
Concept:
Layers play a crucial role in creating moments within the farm center, revealing social spaces that foster a profound sense of unification and community among users. By strategically employing shading devices that diffuse the sun’s natural light, various atmospheres are crafted throughout both the interior and exterior. Each layer possesses unique characteristics shaped by the interplay of light, circulation patterns, and privacy considerations. These shading devices not only regulate sunlight but also create intriguing patterns of light and shadow that evolve throughout the day, enhancing the sensory experience for users. This design encourages a harmonious relationship between the center’s various spaces, allowing for easy circulation and flow. As users move through, they encounter diverse environments that cater to different needs, from vibrant gathering areas to serene retreats, ultimately reinforcing the sense of community the farm center aims to promote. In this way, layers serve as both a physical design element and a conceptual framework that embodies the values of connection, togetherness, and appreciation for the natural world.
Willow Lake Student Farm is a research facility located in Manhattan, Kansas. It is dedicated to the production and education of sustainable horticultural practices, primarily the sustainable production of food sources. The farm was seeking to update and expand its facilities to become a premier small-medium scale diversified farm demonstration site. They sought a space that would support the growth of their club, fostering opportunities to attract and engage new members.
Process
The initial inspiration for the concept development came from the site itself, through the apple trees, where I focused on creating layers within various spaces, applying this idea to both floor plans and sections. Further research into food forests revealed how different layers impact lighting, which led me to integrate the concept of crown shyness, ultimately influencing the diffusion of light throughout the design.

Homestasis Console
Project Type: Furniture Set
Location: Manhattan, Kansas
Time Frame: 8 weeks
Collaborators: Ella Beth and Hanna Scheck
Recognition: Selected for Department Display
Problem:
With urbanization and increasing housing costs in many areas, there’s a growing demand for furniture that maximizes space usage, especially in smaller homes, apartments, and condos. Consumers are increasingly seeking furniture pieces that serve multiple functions and help them stay organized. Entryway sets that offer storage solutions for shoes, coats, bags, and other essentials are particularly popular.
Concept & Solution:
Homestasis entry set provides stability to the ever-changing people within a home. The console, bench, and wall organizer each feature movable parts and customizable elements in order to not only fit user needs, but also personalities. The set allows for homeostasis of users by allowing the opportunity to customize aspects of the pieces in the space where each day begins (the entry) to ease the stress of the day and create stability. Overall, the collection fosters a sense of unity and tranquility, ensuring your living space is both inviting and well organized.
For this project, our group of three members was given an eight-week timeline to design and build a furniture set. We selected the pieces, developed concepts, and engaged in ideation before constructing the final product. Along the way, we identified real-world challenges, set criteria, and established our own design goals to guide the process from concept to completion.
Process
Our process began with discussions about the types of furniture pieces we wanted to create. We then envisioned spaces, and identified specific problems we aimed to solve with each piece. After defining these goals, we moved into the design phase, sketching and ideating our concepts. Once our ideas became more refined, we built small-scale models and conducted joinery tests to explore the practical aspects of our designs.
Fabrication
As a team, we prepared the materials, glued the boards, and carefully crafted each piece. The collaboration made the process enjoyable, from design and ideation to building and watching the pieces come to life. It was a rewarding experience, and the teamwork made the project both fun and exciting.
Eclipse Portable Table
Eclipse, inspired by the ACOTAR book series, combines the mystery and radiance of each book’s important symbols through mountain-shaped sheet metal, laser-cut stars, and a sun-inspired tabletop. Functional features include a dualpurpose handle for portability and blanket storage, a glasses holder, and book storage.
Tides Coffee Table
Tides draws inspiration from Scandinavian design principles, embracing organic yet rational forms, minimalism, and the emotional depth of human experiences. Inspired by the ocean’s waves, the table’s legs symbolize life’s lows and highs, reflecting the ebb and flow of existence while offering steadfast support through its journey.
