To lead local tourism stakeholder engagement, while engaging the community to create true quality of place in order to drive tourists to overnight stays in Calhoun County.
Objectives
▶ Convene key organizational partners to identify, prioritize and address Tourism issues
▶ Expand marketing efforts to increase Tourism brand awareness
▶ Advocate for expanded cultural, arts, entertainment, and recreational opportunities to make our community even more attractive to both potential and current visitors
Business Development Mission
The Chamber will serve as the Business Resource Center to promote the growth and success of businesses and provide business training opportunities.

The Public Affairs Committee’s purpose is to represent and be a proactive voice for the members and the overall business community with all levels of government in order to improve and sustain a positive business climate.

▶ Increase member awareness of the Chamber’s advocacy efforts and successes

Each year, the Jacksonville State University College of Business & Industry and the Center for Economic Development & Business Research compiles data on the state of the economy in Calhoun County, the state, and the nation.
2024 marks the 22nd annual presentation, which includes the results of the economic-outlookprediction for the upcoming year.
The Center for Economic Development and Business Research at JSU concentrates on providing specialized assistance and expertise to area business and government. Examples of the services provided include economic impact studies, marketing surveys, employee attitude assessment, training, and personnel and pay plan development.
