Recently strange things have been happening to Percy; Hell hounds, Cyclops, Dracaena and other Greek monsters have been appearing in his life. Gradually, he is realizing that he is one of the targets of the monsters. Lately, he began developing the notion that he is a demigod. Yes, every time that I needed him in battle or in just daily life, he talks to me telepathically. I can hear him in my head telling me the right choices. Hear the music

Welcome to my Life. It’s difficult and hard, just being you. Whether it’s emotionally or physically. The song “Welcome to my Life” brings emotion and the meaning of life into the world. It’s relating those who fall into emotional pieces to those who live with fortune. By this I mean people who think negatively into believing that they don’t belong in their environment and with their friends bring on emotions that result in loneliness, sadness and madness. This song brings in true emotion with its figurative detail. Not only detail, but meaningful similes such as like somehow you just don’t belong. The quote from the song “to be like me” is interpreting that how he is feeling on the inside. Also there are symbols in the song that represent life’s cycle. “To be life out in the dark” is interpreting that the dark is relating to the negative side of life and that the dark can take you life into sorrow. Also in the song, it says: “lost” a lot. To me this means, when you’re lost between hatred and happiness; you don’t know where to go, it’s like a maze. This song is very deep and meaningful. It’s a perfect reflection of the storyline and feelings in the Last Olympian. While to song triggers emotion and thought, the book also does that too. The book’s storyline is about Percy’s harsh adventures to save the world from destruction by Kronos’s army. It’s difficult to be a demigod, especially for Percy. Percy has to defeat the world’s most dangerous threat in order for earth and mankind to survive and flourish. Also in the book, referring to the quote on page 199; I foresee the future, I cannot change it. To me, this line has a difficult meaning. All it’s saying is that the future can hold neither luck nor bad, but there will be no way of changing that.

Calm youself, Calm you Mind

As a Demigod, I am from the bustling streets overcrowded with businessmen looking at the Empire State Building From the crowded and rusty apartment filled pungent smell, I am the gruff scrape from the intimidating demon like monsters, Minotaurs, Cyclops and Snakes Colossal and hungry, they are death I am from Poseidon The almighty sea god, The supreme ruler and master of the stormy tidal waves Crashing and thundering against the jagged shore with fierce force, His eyes the color of the cryptic Caribbean Sea, As I only saw him once. He is the puzzle of hiding, He has memories and sorrow in his eyes, He is a gleaming god watching over me, He is the illuminated stars watching me throughout somber night He is my father. I’m from frigid thunderous rivers, soiled blacksmiths with their ponderous hammers From the warm campfires to the scorching underworld, Filled with lamented spirits screaming like a ghastly maiden Taking you soul into affliction and desolation, Holds the devil’s savage relationship, The sinful god and ruler of the underworld, Wherever he saunters, Crooked and sinister magic follows in his shadow, He is Hades. Inside, Inside my precarious adventures, Darkness and enmity fills my harmonious mind as if it was an inferno fire, Love and friends overcome those diabolical thoughts in my heart, I am Perseus Jackson. 8

“If my life is going to mean anything, I have to live it myself.” This is a perceptive quote pulled out from the literature book, The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan. This book is vital and the heart of educational literature in the grade 8 curriculum. As a reader, I believe that this youth novel should stay in the grade 8-curriculum education because of its vivid detail, humorous comedy and the thrilling suspense. Throughout this peculiar piece of writing, I will state and explain why the book “The Last Olympian” shall stay and flourish in the grade 8 curriculum.

Only few books have profound detail. Effective detail brings the reader into the novel, making them feel like they’re in the book and the surrounding. Rick Riordan knows the key to ` bring the reader into the book. For example: Rachel raised an eyebrow. “Really? Good.” She glanced at Blackjack, who was clopping his hooves against the hood of the Prius. This example is truly the fundamental reflection of profound detail.

The next thing I knew I was flat on the ground with a huge paw on my chest and an oversize brillo-pad tongue licking my face. This is an ideal match for the comedic side of the book. Entertainment is what keeps the reader excited and in the book. There are also many more examples of comedic comedy in the literature. 10 January 2012 the Bolt

escriptive storyline is one other element that is a piece of a successful book. A descriptive storyline is what keeps the reader entertained and en grossed in the book. If a book has a feeble storyline, the reader will stray apart from the book. Here is one of Rick Riordan’s examples of a descriptive storyline; “The golden Titan laughed. “Don’t worry about him. Besides, the gods can barely handle our first little challenge. They have no idea how many others we have in store. Mark my words, in a few days’ time, Olympus will be in ruins, and we will meet here again to celebrate the dawn of the Sixth Age!”
