Monthly Consumer Packaged Goods Deals Roundup – June 2012 In June, total deal volume in the global CPG industry recorded a month-on-month increase of 5%, rising from 157 transactions in May 2012 to 165 in June, and was 25% higher than the trailing twelve month average (TTM) of 132. The number of M&A transactions increased by one to 107, and was 15% above the TTM average of 93 deals. There were 11 equity offerings and 17 debt offerings in June compared to 14 equity offerings and 15 debt offerings in May. However, the equity offering and debt offering activities in June were significantly higher than their respective TTM averages. The number of partnership deals recorded a monthly increase of 30% with 13 transactions, but was still 7% lower than the TTM average.
