When endodontic treatment endeavors, the root canals in the tooth are disinfected and shaped with small instruments. After, cleaning and shaping, the tooth is sealed to prevent any further infection and bring the tooth back on the pathway to health. Once the root canal treatment gets complete a filling type material (build-up) is placed in the top of the tooth to aid in restoring the structure of the tooth.

What to Expect During a Visit: 

At the beginning of the appointment, Our Pasadena Endodontist will administer a small amount of local anesthetic to make sure that the tooth they are working on is completely numb during the treatment.

A barrier called a dental dam is placed to isolate the tooth from the rest of the mouth to keep it free of saliva during the procedure.

Our Endodontist in Pasadena will now make an opening at the top of the tooth and use instruments to clean the root canals.

A material called gutta-percha is used to fill the areas.

Once the treatment gets over our dentist will remove the dental dam, and the endodontic treatment is complete.
