The Torus and Gibbous designs take inspiration from ancient gathering grounds such as Kilmartin Glen in Argyll
Rhythmic patterns
The designs in these collections are made using Caitlin’s hand forged tools that create rhythmic patterns across the metal

Gibbous
There is lots of ambiguity surrounding these landscapes, but it is thought that our ancestors gathered there to mark changing seasons and to have celebrations throughout the calendar
The Cadence collection takes inspiration from the rhythmic patterns that adorn objects found in the hoards rediscovered in these landscapes Often clay vessels that might have carried precious grain
Cadence
The shapes within these collections are inspired by cup and ring markings in rocks which are thought to connect to the rhythmic patterns of the sun and moon
The Selkie collection is a celebration of Caitlin’s love of wild swimming The concentric circles are reminiscent of the ripples that occur when you immerse yourself into a body of water
The texture created by the ancient process of forging metal is tactile for the wearer and promotes a sense of tranquility
Rather than using tools to texture the surface of the metal, the Terrain collection is forged using rocks sourced from different landscapes around Scotland
The collection is titled after the shapeshifting water - women of Norse & Celtic mythology, the Selkies which are symbolic of strength and transformation
