Congratulations to AJ Scott! AJ Scott, CPCU, CIRMS, Assistant Vice President of Cline Agency Insurance Brokers, recently joined a select group of community association insurance and risk management professionals who have earned the Community Insurance and Risk Management Specialist (CIRMS) designation from CAI. To be eligible for the designation, professionals must have at least five years of experience in the community association field, have been responsible for 25 association insurance programs in the past three years, and maintain a legal and ethical standing in the insurance industry.

A community association insurance and risk management professional’s duties include:

● Working with associations to ensure that they have thought through their exposures to risk.

● Recommending insurance products and steps to reduce the risk itself or to transfer it to another party and presenting costbenefit analyses on various options.

● Educating board members to raise their level of understanding, so they can in turn educate their residents on how to avoid their own losses.

AJ has worked for Cline Agency since May 2006. From 2012-2019, she was actively involved in the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers Association (the Big “I”) and in 2016 served both as President of the Los Angeles chapter (IIABALA) and as Chair of the Greater Los Angeles I-Day Convention. In November 2014, she completed her CPCU® designation and was recognized as the Distinguished Graduate of her class. AJ has been a member of the CIRMS Law Seminar Planning Group since February 2018, and she currently co-chairs the Education Committee for CAI-OCRC (Orange County Regional Chapter).
