Dear Parents, Carers, and Students,
I write this column after attending our first Senior School assembly for Term 4. This assembly was a celebration of all that is good at Cobram AGS. There were many awards presented and other achievements were suitably recognised.
One very significant announcement was that of the 2025 School Captains In 2025 we are introducing two new portfolios of School Captain responsibility. These portfolios are that of ‘Student Engagement’ and another portfolio called ‘Stewardship‘. These portfolios will sit alongside the traditional portfolios of Anglican Identity and Community Service. The School Captains and the portfolio each captain will occupy in 2025 are as below.
Regan Rouse School Captain Anglican Identity
Mackenzie Duhring
School Captain Student Engagement
Abigail Brooker
School Captain Community Service
Alina Corso School Captain Stewardship

Just as the 2024 School Captains have been wonderful, I am positive that the nominated leaders for 2025 will represent the school with distinction.

Senior School athletics squad excel at Hume Regionals
On Thursday, our 16-member Senior School athletics squad proudly represented Cobram AGS at the Hume Region Athletics Carnival in Albury, competing against the best athletes from the region. The squad showcased not only their physical talents but also great sportsmanship and teamwork throughout the day
Year 12 student Madison McDiarmid was a standout, securing 1st place in long jump and 2nd in both discus and shot put! Madison’s impressive performances have earned her a spot at the SSV State Championships in the open female long jump.
Also excelling was Year 8 student Samuel Brown who took out 1st place in hurdles! He will join Madison at the State Championships We wish both athletes the best of luck in the next stage of competition
Our 16 year old female relay team also performed admirably, finishing 4th in the 100m relay, demonstrating great teamwork in hotly run race. A special thanks goes to Mr O'Dwyer and Mrs Rathbone for their support throughout the day. We are incredibly proud of the entire team’s efforts and achievements!

Cows Create Potential Careers at Cobram AGS!
This week we welcomed two adorable calves, Viola and Hallie, to Cobram AGS as part of the Cows Create Careers program! Over the next few weeks, our Year 5/6 students will take on the responsibility of feeding and caring for the calves each day, gaining hands-on experience working with these beautiful animals.
This program offers students a great opportunity to learn about the Australian dairy industry, complete research projects, and explore potential career pathways Stay tuned for more updates on Viola and Hallie!
