Raíz rota – La casa que sangra contiene, como un impulso existencial y creativo, la experiencia de quienes sufren una pérdida. En esta muestra Yael Martínez da cuenta tanto del acto del poder infame que ocluye la vida singular de la víctima como de aquella violencia que se ejerce sobre sus deudos. Doble significación, doble vivencia, se ponen en juego en este trabajo emblemático. Por un lado, documentar la manera en que el dolor se reproduce y, por el otro, mostrarse como una tentativa para emancipar a las víctimas y a quienes los esperan, a través de una sensible rememoración. | Diego Lizarazo Arias
Broken Roots – The House that Bleeds conveys, through an existential and creative impulse, the experience of those who suffer a loss. In this exhibition, Yael Martínez addresses the despicable act of power that occludes the sole life of the victim, as well as the violence that it imposes on its relatives. The double meaning, the double experience, come into play in this emblematic artwork. On hand, it documents the way in which pain transpires, and on the other hand, it comes forth as an attempt to emancipate the victims and those who wait for them through an sensitive remembrance. | Diego Lizarazo Arias
