Esta exposición ofrece una perspectiva particular de la arquitectura como tema de indagación fotográfica y pone énfasis en una serie de inmuebles que no están representados de manera explícita, pero se mantienen presentes por medio de encuadres fotográficos. Cristina Kahlo. Lo concreto. Fotografía arquitectónica y abstracta plantea una intersección de significados que están relacionados con el concreto como material de construcción, pero también con el concepto de lo particular. Tal es el caso del abstraccionismo implícito en el grupo de fotografías que, cargadas de su propia singularidad, transforman los detalles en imágenes sorprendentes. A través de cinco núcleos temáticos, el guión curatorial propone un recorrido por líneas geométricas reconocibles que, a su vez, ofrecen una manera distinta de interpretar la geometría hallada en los objetos cotidianos o la arquitectura que habitamos. La muestra está conformada por un conjunto de imágenes capturadas en México, Estados Unidos, Italia, Alemania, Francia, Inglaterra, Suiza, Turquía y China, entre otros países.

This exhibition offers a unique perspective on architecture as the subject of photographic exploration, and it emphasizes a series of structures that are not represented explicitly, but rather are made present through the photographic frames. Cristina Kahlo. Concrete. Architectural and Abstract Photography conveys an intersection of meanings relating to concrete as a construction material, as well as with the notions of specificity. Such is the case of the abstractionism implicit in the group of photographs that, charged with their own singularity, transform details into remarkable images. By way of five thematic nuclei, the curatorial script proposes a tour through the clear geometric lines that, at the same time, offer a distinct way to interpret the geometry that outlines quotidian objects and the architecture that we inhabit. The show is comprised of a sequence of images taken in Mexico, the United States, Italy, Germany, France, England, Switzerland, Turkey, and China, among other countries.
