PROJECTS Beyond Update
C3 City Campus Leaders visit Asia Visit to Indonesia & Philippines In May this year I joined other C3 Pastors including Jake Betlem and Fergus McIntyre to teach at the C3 SE Asia School of Church Planters (SCP) in Jakarta.
Over 30 church planters attended the school to receive intensive training in church planting as part of our commitment to the 2020 vision. Following the SCP, I visited our church in Cebu and also visited a Church in the nearby City of Bacolod who are on their way to becoming a C3 Church. Great connections were made on the trip as well as reports of people being saved and healed by the power of God during church meetings!

Visit to Myanmar (formerly Burma) There isn’t much you can do to ease the overwhelming apprehension when preparing to enter this once mighty and prosperous nation, but the warmth and hospitality of the local pastors and leaders quickly put my apprehensions to rest. Ps Vabi and his team have managed to build a network of churches, schools, orphanages and businesses in various provinces across the country. In the midst of overwhelming odds the church is growing, almost out of control. The people pray and worship with a certain intensity, they live every day in faith, in complete contrast to their nation’s reputation. Jake Betlem and I had the privilege of imparting the vision and values of C3 Church to a group of 100 key leaders in Ps Vabi’s network. We also had the opportunity to speak at Sunday services across the city. Sharing the Gospel there is like pouring petrol on an already uncontrollable fire. You realise that in a place like Myanmar, there is a desperate need for change, change that comes from a tangible sense of hope. A hope that only a life giving, spirit empowered church can bring. What an honour it is, to be part of the birthing of a new day in a nation, to be part of C3 Church and the work that we are doing across the world.

C3 Team Sizzles at the Balmoral Burn! C3 Church was invited to be a Corporate Sponsor of the Humpty Dumpy Balmoral Burn again this year. Our team ran well, just missing out on a place and coming fourth in the serious runner’s category. It was such a great day with many church families turning up to also ‘run the race’. We certainly have our eyes set on bringing the trophy home next year!

Vision of group As C3 Oxford Falls members for almost 14 years, we have been so blessed by the wonderful teaching of Ps Phil and the encouraging atmosphere that resonates here. We’ve caught the vision that nothing is impossible with God and that He has the most amazing life for us and for our children as well. Our vision is to create a warm and welcoming space for people to connect, share and pray so that we might encourage each other in finding God’s best life for each one of us. We have afternoon tea and socialise all together, then the children are supervised for an hour from 3.30pm to 4.30pm, as they play some outdoor games in the yard. It’s a lovely time to connect

Our Church is built upon an army of faithful believers who volunteer their time to achieve His purpose across planet earth!

The Involved Training Hub is where we impart the vision to our volunteers, connect them to team leaders, train them to be sent out across many different areas of Church life, munch on some pizza and then join in the auditorium at the end for powerful time of prayer and commissioning. You can attend if you are interested in joining a team for the first time, would like a ‘refresher’ or are bringing a friend along to be on your team!

The Service Hosts cover all the details to ensure everyone in the congregation is looked after at every moment within the service. Whether it is welcoming and ushering people to their seats, assisting with collections or answering sometimes curly questions, the service hosts have it covered! New People Team Linton & Ginny Parker Monday Night 7.30pm-9.30pm - Auditorium Our New People Team is all about hosting people in the House as if they were royalty visiting their own house!! The team meets visitors at their cars, ushers them to already saved seats and then hosts them royally in the visitors lounge after the service. Our mission is that no-one is missed or left behind and if you are building your connect group or love chatting over coffee we need you!
Hospitality Team Dee Renton South & Peter Wells Monday Night 7.30pm-9.30pm - Greenroom This team works behind the scenes to host, chaperone and honour our visiting speakers and pastors. If you are gifted in the area of hospitality or a possible barista to the stars we would love you to be on this team! Helping people find all the information they need on connect groups, conferences, courses and many other areas of Church life. This is all due to our Carpark team! Welcoming people, meeting our visitors in the visitors parking section and helping parents with prams and the elderly to find the best spot, the Car Park Team is all about the ‘first impression’. Why not gather some guys from your connect group and serve together? On a once a month roster it’s a great chance to catch up and work-out while helping a team with a real need at the moment.

Stage Hosts & Production Crew (Primary) Monday Night 7.30pm–9.30pm - Theatre Hosting a show like ‘Sarvo, ‘Saturday Morning Disney’ and Imagine Nation takes practice, skill and a whole lot of laughs! Partnership between the stage and production desk is vital – this night will run through stage presence, run sheet, sound effects, lighting cues, transitions and screens to create a service that carries the presence of God and is ridiculous fun! Party Skills (Preschool) Monday Night 7.30pm–9.30pm - KidzConnexion Face painting, balloon animals, juggling, special tricks – you’ll be the life of the next 3 year olds’ party! Learning from some of our most creative and talented artists and actors, this night will give you the giggles and tools to make events super special. Story Telling (Preschool) Tuesday Night 7.30pm–9.30pm - KidzConnexion Hold kids in rapt attention as you bring God’s word alive in their world through creative storytelling and masterful life application. Ps Clair Maurice will share secrets from over 10 years of children’s ministry, empowering you to bring transforming messages to young kids. Warning: may affect bedtime stories as well!
