Jouko has previously worked at Mervento Oy as the CEO, at ThermiSol Panels as the Managing Director and at Kvaerner Pulping Pte Ltd in Singapore as the Vice President, Sales & Marketing.

I will share a vision of Finland energy 2030 outlook and the needed political decisions to make it happen. He also shows key trajectories of future’s energy market in the global setting and analyses the expected implications for the national innovation ecosystem of energy utilities markets. ANJA LIUKKO Counsellor, Ministry of Employment and the Economy, Energy Department. Finland has ambitious plans to increase the share of renewable energy by 2030. The presentation will focus on current issues relating to the preparations for the new Finnish Subsidy Scheme for renewable energy sources as well as to the more strategic framework. ARI SAARINEN Environmental Counsellor, Ministry of the Environment The Government Decision on the wind turbine noise level values came into force in 2015. Wind turbine locations are determined according to the Land Use and Building Act procedures based on the values of the Decision and computational noise modelling.

SIMON PHILIPPS Managing Director, Fraunhofer Energy Alliance Photovoltaics plays an important role in the German power system. This talk will give an overview about the historic development, the status as well as the perspectives and challenges of PV in Germany. JOUNI TOLONEN Manager, Solar Business; Fortum Solar energy technology is rapidly maturing and the world market is growing fast. Fortum targets a gigawatt-scale solar and wind portfolio. First utility-scale solar investments have been done in India. SEPPO VALKEALAHTI Professor, Tampere University of Technology Status and achievements of solar photovoltaic system research carried out in Finland during the past years will be reviewed with focus on PV generator operation under varying climatic conditions and interfacing it to the power grid. STEPHEN FOX Director & CEO, Panliska Ltd HORIZON 2020 is the EU main programme for research & innovation. It is very competitive but EU is seeking much greater participation from SMEs. Topics are set in annual work programmes and are now known for 2016 & 2017. This is the perfect time to develop your innovative ideas and form consortia to make bids.
