On September 25, 1975, fraternal twin boys were born prematurely in Rock Sound, Eleuthera to their proud parents Leroy and Prudence Knowles. Independent and strong willed from his birth, they named the second twin, Carl Kendall Knowles. As a child, Carl was adventurous, mischievous and inquisitive. He loved playing with the other kids on the hill, swimming in Ocean Hole, and helping his dad drive his truck and other heavy equipment.
Carl was educated in Rock Sound at St Anne’s Catholic School, Rock Sound Primary, and Preston H Albury High School During these years, he formed many lasting relationships that helped to shape who he would become.
Carl loved tinkering with electronics from an early age. During his educational years at St. Anne’s Catholic School, the twins would go to Batelco after school where our mother worked. It was there that he learned to love playing with the telephone wires and equipment He would make little rings from the wires for the girls in class and sell them to the boys This love for gadgets and electronics persisted through high school After high school, he worked with Carey’s Construction where he further perfected the construction trade that he learned from his father. He later moved to Nassau where he worked with Williams Electric Company Ltd on Wulff Road. Electronics was his passion. He eventually moved back home to Eleuthera where he worked for four years with Cable Bahamas Ltd as a Cable Modem/Fiber Optic Technician assisting in the installation of cable lines throughout the islands.
Carl became his own boss after that He upgraded his technician skills and started his own company where he installed satellite TV systems, star links, IP/CCTV cameras, and ring cameras.
Carl loved his family and kids. He communicated with them as often as he could. He had three sons and one daughter. Carl Hershal his eldest, Jayden his second son through the union with his former wife Selma, Imani and Deniro He was the primary caregiver and was constantly seen with the youngest two Imani and Deniro were his world Anywhere he went, he would always be seen with them To work, church, social gatherings and club events. They were always by his side.
Carl had a love for the good things in life & had many hobbies. He loved listening to music, helped out with junkanoo, was an avid member of the Kiwanis Club of South Eleuthera, a member of the Eleutheran Adventures lodge, and was on the PTA for Rock Sound Primary School where his daughter attended.
Carl began experiencing back pains and extreme tiredness in July After being seen by the doctor at the clinic in Rock Sound, he travelled to New Providence where he was admitted to the Princess Margaret Hospital. After numerous tests, he was diagnosed with cancer. Carl transitioned on Monday, September 16, 2024 at 10:56 a.m.
Carl was preceded in death by his Father: Leroy Candel Knowles.
Left to cherish him with loving memories are his devoted:

With faith in Jesus Christ, we receive the remains of our brother Carl for burial. Our brother Carl was washed in Holy Baptism and anointed with the Holy Spirit Let us therefore, with confidence, pray to God our Heavenly Father, the giver of life, that He will raise him to perfection in the company of the Saints Blesses the cremains

Let us pray
O God of grace and glory, we remember before you this day our brother Carl. We thank you for giving him to us, his family and friends, to know and to love as a companion on our earthly pilgrimage. In your boundless compassion, console us who mourn. Give us faith to see in death the gate of eternal life, so that in quiet confidence we may continue our course on earth, until, by your call, we are reunited with those who have gone before, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We have gathered to celebrate the entry of Carl into life eternal.
To affirm with praise and thanksgiving the goodness of the Lord.
Let us rejoice in God’s presence with us, in death as in life among those who now see God face to face
Our lips will shout for joy, for God’s love is over all that God has made Blessed be God’s glorious Name forever!
We feel the pain of separation, we are conscious of our loss, but we hope in Jesus Christ
We give thanks to God from whom comes all life and death and who surrounds us in both We have affirmed our faith and rejoice in Christ’s victory over death, which is God’s promise to us
Lord, you raised the dead to life;
Give to our brother Carl eternal life.

Don’t grieve for me for now I’m free, I’m following the path God laid for me I took his hand when I heard him call, I turned my back and left it all I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work or play Tasks left undone must stay that way, I’ve found that peace at the close of day If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah yes, these things I too will miss Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish for you the sunshine of tomorrow
My life’s been full, I’ve savored much, Good friends, good times, my loved one’s touch If my time seemed all too brief, Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief Lift up your heart, rejoice with me, God wanted me now, He set me free.
