Brooke House College Football Academy was established in 2008 and now has over 170 players from over 50 different countries. Since its inception a large number of players have progressed onto a professional football career. The Academy has a fully UEFA –qualified coaching staff which serves the following teams – Under 13, Under 14, Under 16, Under 17, and Under 19 playing in fixtures in a number of competitive leagues and against professional clubs.

Facilities

l The Academy training centre is based on the outskirts of Market Harborough l Facilities available include 4G artificial showcase pitch, 3G and grass pitches for fixtures and training l Fully equipped gym and a large Football Academy residential house l Injury and rehabilitation clinic l The training centre has on site changing rooms and class rooms for workshops and match analysis

Competitive Fixtures

l The Academy play in a number of regional and national competitions.

l The Academy also enjoys friendly matches against professional football clubs academy sides as well as elite and development squads. Opponents include: Leicester City, Barnsley, Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth, Burnley, Swansea, Luton, Southampton, Fulham, Reading and Stoke City

Professional Clubs

l Scouts from a number of professional clubs are regular visitors to Academy fixtures l The Academy will help to facilitate trials at professional clubs l The Academy will also encourage players to represent their national teams where practical and has been fortunate to oversee a number of players obtaining international honours. l The Academy has strong links with pro clubs in the United Kingdom and overseas

Pre-Season

l The Academy’ s pre-season training camp takes place at the end of the summer holidays and aims to utilise the best training facilities at institutions such as professional clubs, sport departments of universities and our own first-rate facilities l The main purpose of pre-season is an induction to the Brooke House way and culture alongside preparing players for the season ahead

Data Analysis

l Many academy fixtures are digitally recorded and player performance and decision making are analysed by the coaching and video analyst team:

- A professional data management system is used to keep record of match and training statistics, ratings and evaluation l Footage obtained can also be distributed to professional clubs for the purposes of securing player trials l The Academy uses the most current GPS system which squads can use on training and match days, which are then analysed and logged on the player data management system for reference.

- All data collected is communicated to players and parents through a players login to the their profile on the data management system.

Sports Therapy

l The Academy Sports Therapist assists with recovery from injury and works with players to prevent further injuries l Our Sports Therapist works closely with the Academy Manager and College Matron to ensure the all-round health of every player
