What kind of design do you pursue?

I am progressive, creative, and place values on products by coming from a global perspective. I am a designer who makes products better than yesterday and try to make them more beautiful.

I want to emphasize the values of designers and products to people and provide new experiences and inspiration.

I want to design everything where products exist. I not only strive for electronic goods as I pursue design that is comprehensive, general and innovative including commercial experiences as well as artistic and cultural experiences. Also, I strive for design that can be used for users to express values.

How do you progress your works?

What is your portfolio?

It is classified into two types. I base on user research to understand their cultural perspectives and thoughts and observe behaviors to suggest innovative and new products by coming from the user's position. On the other hand, I also do works that convey intuitive and artistic sentiments. I do this in the way of delivering stories.

It is not just a way of introducing products and showing the works that I progressed. Instead, it is a measure that reflects on my thoughts, the concepts and understanding that I base on for the operation, and a way of showing conceptual expression about what I am aiming to express. It is an effective media that expresses who I am.

Background

Life accompanied by music.

Prompt approach towards music.

Many people spend a significant amount of time of their lives with music and there is a growing number of people who consider the medium of music as a part of their lives. Additionally, many young people gain and express distinct inspiration and youth through music. Accordingly, we had to search for and contemplate over an effective way for people to approach music in a faster manner.

Along with the development in the music industry, many music streaming services are being suggested. These applications emphasized the UI/UX aspects but did not give consideration to how users approach and play music. Accordingly, we thought about how users could listen to music easily without having go through the complex procedures like before. As a result, we discovered a new action called ‘TAP.’

Automatic bluetooth connection through illuminance sensor.

There is no need to personally connect onto smartphones.

The users have to just apply the ‘eartap’ and then the illuminance sensor recognizes the user and connects ‘eartap’ and smartphone automatically.

The previous behavior and stages of connecting earphones with smartphone was minimized so that users can enjoy music promptly.

It was discovered by the trivial behavior of naturally moving the hand closer to the ear to listen closely to sounds and focusing on the sounds. It was made so that the hand is moved towards the 'ear tap' to listen to the song or focus and the press on the tap to play or stop the music. New experiences can be gained from a trivial behavior and accordingly, it inspires the users.

Through the action of TAP, users can jump over the complicated stages of connecting onto previous music service application, getting access to the playlist, and having to select music to listen to. Instead, users can just use the behavior of tapping the earphones so that they can approach music in an easier and more intuitive manner.

Now, there is no need for users to remove earphones from their ears or turn off music in order to talk to the person next to them.

All they have to do is tap the earphone of the desired direction twice through the mute function so that they can converse conveniently with their friend next to them while listening to songs.

Bluetooth earphones are sensitive to how much battery remains. This is why many users check how much battery remains by using a smartphone application or continue using it without knowing how much battery is left. We came up with a design that can prevent this unnecessary procedure and enable for the amount of battery remaining to be easily checked through TAP.

The Shaker bases on various functions to provide new interaction to the user and becomes connected to the smart phone of the user so you can provide a fun experience to anyone and enable them to drink cocktail of perfect taste.

It was designed in a way where just 4 key screens were used to gain and share information. Other unnecessary functions were excluded and the core functions were used to construct the UI. The key flow was constructed in away so that information can be checked just as it naturally flows when the user moves according to the navigation of the application instead of including various functions in the depth.
