RE-ZEN TRANSIT HUB

Bus Terminal and Public Park

Studio Design 6

Shannon Surjaningtyas Supervisor: Ivan A. Abednego, M.Ars.

Located in Kebayoran Lama, Re-Zen Transit Hub is a TOD-based type b bus terminal and cultural park that aims to provide a fresh look and open green space that integrates with its surrounding. Integrating blue and green elements across the landscape, Re-Zen Transit Hub provides a collaborative space to reactivate the local society. Thus, facilitating social interaction with an open public space.

Optimizing sustainability aspects, the building fully functions passively—allowing natural air to ventilate public areas and natural lighting to pass through the building. Using wooden louvres as partitions from the outdoors, cross ventilation is also used to cool down the building.

To increase effectivity of public transport, the wooden louvres also enables the passengers to have visual connection with the bus lanes. Separating vehicle and bus circulation, the mass composition ensures pedestrian-friendly design.

Located in Waduk Melati, Harmony Cultural Park integrates nature and culture, promoting environmental awareness through immersive spatial experiences and sustainable design strategies.

With green open spaces, Harmony Cultural Park hopes to connect and upgrade the local communities by integrating function. Harmony Cultural Park provides a library and museum for the community to use, with a food court provided for the local motorcyclists.

Harmony Cultural Park aims to build a more sustainable environment by reusing used water and harvested rainwater throughout the site’s landscape as pond water and to water plants.

Studio Design 5

Located in Waduk Melati, AquaTerra Hub is a mixed-use building with commercial and office areas that aims to create a productive and fun environment by integrating the bluescape with greenscape throughout the landscape.

In hopes of reactivating the community’s senses through spatial experience, the building overall mass captivates 3 main ideas: welcoming, permeability and verticality — where the landscape can still have visual connection without diminishing the building’s midrise height. With the integration of greenscape with blue pockets,

AquaTerra Hub aims to upgrade the local communities’ awareness of sustainability and the environment by reusing harvested rainwater and used water throughout the site’s landscape.

LA CONNEXION VILLAGE

Social Housing Studio Design 4

Located in Kampung Aquarium, La Connexion Village is a sustainable social housing complex created to build a dynamic community where society is connected with one another and with nature.

The entire building complex is connected through circulation path located in the middle of the site. This village provides communal garden where rainwater harvesting and an urban farm is located in hopes to rise sustainable habits for the inhabitants.

The design includes an open plan where minimal walls and partition seperate areas added with various openings to allow natural sunlight and ventilation which are maximized in the building’s front and back side, due to north-south orientation.
