MATCH INFORMATION
All matches will be 6 minutes each-way. 12 minutes in total, 1 minute half time. Teams must be ready by the correct pitch for a prompt start.
Coin toss will decide who starts/choice of ends.
The team conceding the try can choose to kick or receive.
FESTIVAL RULES
In accordance with the England Rugby New Rules of Play, this will be a Festival of Rugby. All teams will be encouraged to play good attacking rugby, and to play the game in the correct spirit.
One player from each team will be awarded the Beechwood Park TREDS medal, recognising individuals who have best demonstrated the RFU’s core values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline, and Sportsmanship.
One team will be presented the Beechwood Park Spirit of Rugby award, chosen by the independent Referees. This award will go to the team who best demonstrated the RFU TREDS values.
SQUADS
Squads may consist of a maximum of 10 players. Coaches are expected to provide an equal amount of game time to all players.
A change of strip should be brought in the event of a kit/colour clash.
Rolling substitutions are permitted and substituted players can return at any time. The coach should inform the referee if they are about to make a substitution.

PARENTS AND SPECTATORS
Spectators are politely reminded to support in an appropriate and positive manner.
Parents’ Tea will be served in the Pavilion from 14.15 - 15.30.
Pupils’ Teas will be boxed and available for schools to collect at the cricket pavilion from Registration onwards.
A toilet for parents is located at the back of the Cricket Pavilion. For safeguarding reasons, pupil toilets are not accessible to parents.
Please make sure children remove boots when entering the Cricket Pavilion
Parking for minibuses and spectators will be along the side of the drive, next to front field. Marshals will be there to guide you.
In the event of a fire alarm, everyone will be required to line up in their school teams on the AstroTurf.
In case of inclement weather and the event having to be cancelled, schools will be notified by email as soon as we have made the decision, ideally this will be before 11:00.

R-SAFETY
Beechwood Park School has an R-Safety policy which ensures the well-being of any pupil playing rugby.
Prior to matches, safety discussions between opposing coaches will take place as well as a pitch inspection.
All pupils will have their studs checked and will be expected to wear a mouth guard.
No dangerous play will be tolerated.
Concussion and suspected concussion are taken very seriously; any child who suffers a head knock will be checked by our medical team.
The event is being photographed and will be shared on Social Media, anyone unable to be photographed, please be easily identifiable.
First Aid will be available.
Beechwood Park Sports Staff will have radios.
Please ensure any of your players with asthma or allergies have their necessary medication. We are a nut free school, therefore please do not bring food containing nuts on site.
Please be aware that dogs are not allowed on site.
