As you begin to learn more about Microsoft Azure, it’s important to understand that certification paths aren’t always what they seem. While there are three levels of certifications, these levels don’t exactly reflect how difficult each exam is and how much you should know before attempting it. Here’s an explanation of the three levels and how to choose the right certification path for you as you start on your journey to becoming an Azure expert.
The Microsoft Certifications Roadmap If you're looking to get started with Microsoft Azure, the best place to start is with the Azure Fundamentals certification. This certification covers all of the basics of Azure, and passing the AZ-900 exam is a great way to show that you know your stuff when it comes to cloud computing. If you are looking to show more in-depth knowledge of Azure, then you might consider one of Microsoft's Azure Associate-level certifications. Each of these exams focuses on a single topic such as Azure Databases or Cloud Development and Operations and if you pass, you can gain a broad understanding of how that subject works with Microsoft Azure. The only prerequisite for any of these exams is the Azure Fundamentals certification.
