Okra extract 1. What is Okra extract? Okra extract is obtained from the seedpods or the root of the okra plant. Okra (Abelmoschus manihot, Abelmoschus esculentus) is a tropical green flowering plant. The plant belongs to a similar plant family as cotton, hibiscus and marshmallow. The plant is also referred to as gumbo, lady’s finger, and bhindi. The term “okra” is most commonly used to refer to the plant’s edible seedpods.

They also prevented cognitive impairment that could have resulted.
