I would like to pursue a combined MD/PhD degree because I want to work in both clinical and laboratory settings studying the mechanisms of disease. My ideal path would be acquiring an MD along with a doctorate in the neurosciences, but I am also interested in biochemistry and pathology as well as a few others.
