1. Check that there is no dust:
Remove dust that is present on the printer as soon as possible. It might help you to solve the canon error. To clean the dust take a piece of clean cloth and then remove the dust from the surface of the printer. After cleaning, feed the pages correctly in the paper tray. Now the roller moves freely during the process of printing.
2. Check that the papers are installed correctly
or not:
If you inserted the paper unsuitably in the tray, then the printer will fail to print any print command. It is necessary to use the correct and appropriate sizes of paper. Canon printers will not work properly when you try to print different types of paper.
3. Reset the printer:
In order to restart the printer, press and hold the power button for some time and wait for the device to shut down. After that, switch off the printer and unplug the cord from the power outlet. And disconnect the printer from the PC as well.
4. Check for any paper jam:
With the help of a torchlight see inside the printer that there is no stuck paper inside the printer that is causing the error and check the paper tray as well. Check for paper crumbs and other things as well that are creating obstacles to the printing process. If you see any unfamiliar thing then remove it as soon as possible and check whether it is still showing the error or not.
