Butler benefit Auction 2025

El Dorado Kansas Butler

Welcome!

Dear Alumni and Friends,

Good evening and welcome to the 28th annual Butler Benefit Auction!

We are so glad that you are here to help us raise funds to support students who are seeking a higher education at Butler Community College. The Butler Auction has been recognized by the Wichita Business Journal as one of the Top 10 Best Fundraising Events in the region. This event has a great tradition and is a testament of the collective commitment to our students through your generous support.

You are a champion of education and an advocate for a brighter future. As leaders in our community, your presence tonight reflects not only the success of Butler but also the potential of each student who chooses Butler as their institution of higher learning. Your financial support means access to an education at an affordable cost that will provide opportunity for future learning or the start of a new career. You are making this happen tonight! I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our honorary chairs, Forrest and Tiffany Rhodes. Forrest and Tiffany are an integral part of Butler Community College. Forrest serves as a member of the Butler Community College Trustees and Tiffany serves as Butler Community College’s assistant director of human resources. Serving the mission of our college has been a part of their lives for some time now, and we are thrilled to have them serving in this role tonight.

It goes with saying that tonight’s event does not happen without the leadership of the Butler Foundation team; our auctioneer, Jeremy Sundgren and the folks at Sundgren Realty; our set designer, Tom Mittlestadt; sponsors; donors; volunteers; faculty; and staff. Our event is successful only because each one of these wonderful people gives their time and treasure to make it a fun evening.

So saddle up to the bar, wet your whistle, and bid high, folks. Get ready for the Butler Bonanza!

Enjoy the evening,

Community College

Honorary Chairs

We are happy to serve as the honorary chairs for this year’s Butler Benefit Auction and are looking forward to a wonderful evening supporting a phenomenal institution and the students it serves. The Auction is among the most successful charitable events not just in Butler County but throughout the Wichita area. That’s a huge reflection on the great work of the College and the Foundation, along with the generosity of all the Foundation’s supporters.

Community colleges, and Butler in particular, present an affordable option for students seeking education beyond high school. Tiffany and I each got our college education started at a Kansas community college and we recognize the value that provided to us. The money raised this evening helps the Foundation to continue to do great work supporting the College and, most importantly, its students, many whom wouldn’t have the opportunity to pursue a college education without the scholarship support that the Foundation provides.

Thanks to everyone who is here tonight and to those who were unable to attend but supported in other ways, such as through purchasing a table or donating auction items. As they say, bid early and often, and thanks in advance for your generosity!
