With great fortune, the Butler Benefit Auction was held prior to the outbreak of COVID-19 in the United States. We recognize how lucky we are as nonprofits around the world are canceling their annual fundraisers. With grateful hearts, we say thank you to everyone who helped make our 23rd auction “Around the World in 80 Days” a success! The event raised $245,000, with $90,000 being raised during the cash appeal Pure Philanthropy—what an extraordinary achievement for our event! It was my first time to be part of the planning and attend the auction. It is evident how important and enjoyable our guests and donors find this event—and for good reason! The student involvement highlights the reason we are all there and adds to the levity and fun of the auction. I especially want to thank Lance and Lisa Lechtenberg, who served as our honorary co-chairs, and our top sponsors: HollyFrontier, Bank of America, BG Products, Commerce Bank, IMA, Professional Engineering Consultants, BKD, and Premier Food Service.
